Multi guard for DVR, VCR, cable box and game console too. This great guard cover the entire front panel from delicate disc drawers to all of the buttons that babies love to push.

My daughter pulled it off in 2 seconds.

The TV however is curved and thus the straight shield doesn't do much to stop little fingers from squeezing inside to push the irresistible buttons on and off.
Cindy
The velcro to attach these to the DVD players is not very strong - which isn't a huge surprise since you need to remove it to actually put a DVD in.

My son was always pushing buttons and changing settings on our DVR and receiver...I bought two of these. Now my son has two toys - he lifts the plastic up and likes to hear the Velcro - and then push the buttons...it's a deterrent, but I recommend putting it on before needing it so that your child doesn't already know the cause/effect reaction of pushing the buttons...

If you have a really intelligent child I recommend screwing the guard onto whatever surface the electronic sits on. My 17 month old son just ripped the guard right off it's velcro and kept messing with the reciever buttons as usual. I ended up screwing the guard down and that has prevented him from being able to change the settings, but it seems a little excessive....

We are using it, so it's not bad. The part you stick under the DVD player is a bit too short - we have a volume knob and the edge of the protector can't quite reach the base of the player in order to attach to the velcro. Also, it's shorter (both height and width) than I'd like. But it sort of does the trick. Babies can reach around it... but it dissuades.

My one year old is very good at figuring out our "baby proofing" attempts. Now, we are in the process of "toddler proofing." This is the ONLY product that actually keeps our son from re-programming the TV and DVR! Warning: It blocks the buttons for adults, too. But if you have your remote, then this is not a problem!

After reading the reviews, I installed this when my son wasn't in the room so that he wouldn't know it was there. He still had it off within five minutes.

Great product. My 16 month old discovered how to push buttons on my cable box, and this has stopped him from doing that! Very happy. Delivery was excellent too-arrived much faster than expected.

Doesn't hold up well to toddler hands. And it is covered in fingerprints that are almost impossible to clean off.

Measure your equipment that you are going to use this on though. I found I really could use an extra couple inches to completely cover the buttons on the TV. All in all, we centered it where the last buttons were just covered at each end and it worked pretty well for quite a while like that.
