Finally Understanding,

This review is from: Parental Loss of a Child (Paperback)
This book was obviously written for the professional dealing with people who have lost a child; however, as a parent who has lost a child, I have found the book to be very helpful. Most of what is on the market for parents in my situation are antedotal and not useful for "self help". This book is an exception to that. It offers the results of surveys and clinical studies of what is "normal" and the different ranges of reactions seen in grieving parents. It has been helpful in that it has allowed me to see that my actions and thoughts are not as alien as I may have believed otherwise. I also recommend "Swish: Maria in the Mourning" to parents who have lost a child.

Written more like a college textbook than something for a grieving parent. May be usefull for students or potential counselors but not for me.
