About the Author

Chris Hamer, M.S., CCBC, has worked with dogs and their families to develop better relationships for over twenty-five years. She is the mother of two boys, who grew up on a farm, enveloped in the wisdom of animals and nature. Peg Hevel, R.N., B.S.N., P.H.N., worked as a Nurse Health Educator, community/family liaison and family counselor in the Montana public school system. She is a mother of four daughters all raised in the companionship of animals.

I was curious when I first ordered parenting with pets. And once I started into it I simply couldn't stop. Speaking as an experienced parent, there is countless knowledge to be gained from this book, as well as heart warming stories from other parents and pet owners. In other words, Parenting with Pets deserves five stars and is a must buy for anyone who is thinking about parenting, is already parent, or simply loves pets!

Parenting With Pets by Hamer & Hevel was a great book! I loved it! I grew up with pets all my life, and my children will always have pets of some sort. Animals are a great teaching tool, as well as part of the family. This book is very well written and I loved all the little stories throughout. I highly recommend this book whether you have children or not, whether you have pets or not. Great read!
