About the Author

Joanne miller, RN, BSN, and her husband Ed, have two boys, Dave and Tim. Joanne has been a pediatric nurse since 1985 and is presently working at the Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. She is an author and public speaker, and her parenting ideas have helped many families over the years. She is the cofounder of the National Center for Biblical Parenting and works with Dr. Scott Turansky to teach parenting classes and to counsel with families.

Scott Turansky, D.Min., and his wife, Carrie, have five children. Dr. Turansky directed a preschool for eight years and is presently a counselor and seminar speaker and lives in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Scott is the cofounder of the National Center for Biblical Parenting and the pastor of Calvary Chapel of Mercer County.

What a great tool for parents! The authors' practical approach recognizes the uniqueness of each child. It guides parents in going beyond modifying behavior to intentionally reaching a child's heart to faciliate change. Parenting is Heart Work is filled with real-life examples as well as practical suggestions for parents of children of every age. Turansky and Miller's approach is gentle, loving, and practical.

I don't know how many books I've read on parenting, but this one goes to the top of the list. It is very practical and easy to read. My husband is using this to counsel parents now. AWESOME!

I loved this book. Extremely practical, easy and ejoyable to read yet covered a lot of information. I'm going to start using this for baby gifts! It's the best parenting book I've read!
