Yes! I am the mom of four children from 4 to 14,so I've read lots of parenting "prescriptives" and have been frustated at the overly-simplistic formulas for success, the rigid unrealistic plans that promise harmony and perfection, and the scare-tactic, "flee the world and head for the bunker" approaches. Parenting isn't easy; neither is childhood. This book reminds us that life isn't a mastered performance but a hand-in-hand walk - our children, our Father and us on a journey to maturity that never really ends in this life. Katherine Koonce honors her Lord and her readers by respecting the difficulty of this journey in her life and offering gentle insights on obedience to God's principles for the whole family.It reminded me that my role is to obey God in my parenting and to trust Him with the outcomes, not to produce perfect children.

This book is rich and thought-provoking. Buy two copies - one for yourself and give the other to a good friend. It really stirred and challenged me to think differently about the art of parenting. There are great questions throughout the book that have invited rich discussion with my husband about our own kids and with friends about the journey of parenting. I highly recommend this book!

I really enjoyed reading this book. It really gave me some great ideas to help my kids. I would recommend this book to any parent...especially Christians.
