This review is from: A Parent's Guide to Reading With Your Young Child (Paperback)
This book provides good information for parents of young children. The author describes and explain how to read to and use books with children at each different level of development from birth through age five. Suggestion for types of books as well as book titles are also given. I recommend this book for parents, caregivers, and those who wish to give a valuable gift to someone that has a young child.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fills a niche for parents, grandparents, June 5, 2009
This review is from: A Parent's Guide to Reading With Your Young Child (Paperback)
I bought this book looking for creative ways to read to kids, hoping to share my enjoyment of books with my young grandchildren (15 months to 5 years). Although it is not as creative as I had hoped, it provides an invaluable guide to books appropriate for each age group, along with suggestions for discussions to maximize the listener's enjoyment and learning. Published in 2007, it is still current. There are so many gorgeous kids' books on the shelves, having the guidance and recommendations of an expert will help me select the right books for my grandkids and keep me close to them across the miles.
