A Good Resource Book, June 3, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Parents' Nutrition Bible (Paperback)
This book does a great job of describing vitamins and minerals the body requires in a simple and straightforward manner. The author provides information such as what each vitamin/mineral does, how much is good/bad, what kind of foods you can find it in, and what you should know about each type of supplement. The author also offers a few simple, nutritious recipes. The author, who is also a pharmacist, provides insightful information on the types of drugs mothers-to-be should avoid or not use excessively, a list of drugs that pass through a nursing mother's milk, and medicines that can deplete vitamins. My only concern is on how uptodate this information is....its copyrighted 1992 and the fourth printing was May 1997.
