4.0 out of 5 stars Whee!
I bought these just in time for our big ice freeze this January. The sledding was great! These are good sleds, they spread your weight around quite well and have a nice smooth surface on the bottom; these glide fast even on a very moderate slope. My only complaint is they could be a little more durable, but they're cheap so just buy an extra set so you'll have spares. And...

3.0 out of 5 stars snow saucer
Customer Video Review     Length:: 0:20 Mins
The snow saucers are great fun. I built a "gutter like" trail so the kids would not go into the woods. We link up into a chain and slide all together. Be careful because these saucers can unexpectedly split into pieces. Maybe it was the cold but one of ours did suddely break into two pieces revieling sharp edges.

My only complaint is they could be a little more durable, but they're cheap so just buy an extra set so you'll have spares. And to be fair, they probably weren't intended for snow sledding from behind a moving vehicle at 40mph and then crashing into your neighbor's garbage can. :)

2.0 out of 5 stars Easily breaks apart, May 8, 2009
We live in ND, where it gets really cold. It didn't take much -- once or twice down the hill, and it wasn't even below zero, when the flyers broke into pieces. Nothing in the product description said anything about how easily they would break in cold temps. Not worth it for us, but maybe for people who live in warmer temps when the fun can be had.

1.0 out of 5 stars total junk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, February 6, 2010
I bought 3 of these sleds from Ace Hardware. The first broke in 5 minutes, the second in 7 minutes and the third in 10 minutes. These sleds are not FLEXIBLE and the only FLYING they will do is into the DUMPSTER!!!!!!!!!!!! Why can't I give it "zero" stars?

1.0 out of 5 stars Breaks easily, December 31, 2009

Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews before I bought this product. I saw several comments about how the products break easily in the cold. I disagree. They break easily period. It has to be somewhat cold to use the sleds since you need snow to use them. I bought these for my nephew and within less than an hour of play in above freezing temperatures, both sleds that were used had cracked clear across the middle and were headed for the trash. There is a reason these are cheap. Your kid will be excited to get them and then very disappointed when they break. Don't waste your money.

1.0 out of 5 stars brittle disposable fun, February 8, 2010

We bought the 3 pack of sleds for our children. One broke/cracked the first ride down on 6 inches of snow-no rocks or other obstacles with a 60 pound child on it. One is used by the 6 year old who is more timid and won't slide down the hill it is fine she gets pulled around on flat ground. The 3rd sled made it through 2 afternoons (about 4 hours total) before the oldest child flipped over on it and it split in half. The hill we are using is the slope for our walk out basement. If we went to a serious sledding hill I imagine you would need a new sled for each time down. Disposable sleds.....how sad for the "Flexible Flyer" name.

Bought these flexible flyers and used only two. The first run both saucers broke!
Our teenagers were extremely mad! Would not recommend them!

I bought this three pack and kept in onhand for a snowy day. The kids had a great time going down the small hill near our house. It is light enough for very young children (ages 3 - 8) to carry/drag back up their hill. I would not recommend this for adults or older teenagers.

1.0 out of 5 stars Break too easily, February 6, 2010

I live in Richmond, VA and we don't normally get much snow - we bought these with Amazon Prime to get them here in a hurry when we saw the snow forecast. Bought the 3 pack and 1 broke suddenly and unexpectedly into pieces the first day. Temps about 32, so don't blaim it on the cold. They're paper thin plastic.

They did work wonderfully while they lasted - super fast and for a flat area like our's where you have to hunt for even little slopes, they worked perfectly. Just very sad to have one of the children lose their new favorite toy the same day it arrived- and we had tears. Would not buy again. Looking for those old alumninum ones I had as a kid!

1.0 out of 5 stars breaks easily, February 5, 2010
We purchased these for our children for Christmas. One broke the first day within 30 minutes, another broke on the second day. One is still going strong but we have pampered it a bit more. Duck tape works well though:)
