More About the Author

Carolyn Keene and Franklin W. Dixon are the pseudonyms under which many ghostwriters penned the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys series, respectively. Both series were created by Edward Stratemeyer, founder of the Stratemeyer Syndicate book packaging firm, in the late 1920s and early 1930s.

Stratemeyer's daughter, Harriet, and syndicate writer Mildred Wirt Benson were the two people primarily responsible for bringing the iconic character of Nancy Drew to life in the minds and hearts of millions of readers around the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars they are in Paris investigating a saboteur and a blackmailer, March 20, 1999

I thought this book was really good. Frank gets jealous of Nancy and the rock star, Johnny Crockett. This mystery contains all the elements of a good mystery: action, suspense, and danger. That's what makes this a definitely great read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and Exciting, July 23, 2011
This review is from: Paris Connection (Nancy Drew & Hardy Boys Super Mystery #6) (Paperback)
I can't complain about this series. I enjoyed everyone of them several times. My mom even reads them. It is a great concept to have them work together. It would be fun to see a new tv series based on these books.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not one of the better super mysteries, February 18, 2011

This review is from: Paris Connection (Nancy Drew & Hardy Boys Super Mystery #6) (Paperback)
Nancy Drew goes to Paris to investigate serious pranks against a rock star, Johnny Rocket. There she meets up with the Hardy Boys, who are in town for an art theft conference. The Hardy Boys find their own art theft mystery while in Paris. Nancy and the Hardy Boys then team up and help each other solve their mysteries.

Both Beth and Nancy have some romantic involvement with Johnny Rocket (Nancy) and some others on the tour (Bess). Joe is interested in an ex-art thief. However, this doesn't play a big role in the story.

I didn't enjoy this super mystery as much as others, such as The Last Resort. The story is a convoluted, and not very credible. Relationships don't really play a big part in the book, unlike other Super Mysteries. I'd recommend skipping this one, unless you're a huge Nancy / Hardy Boys fan.
