Now Nelie has gone to find the answers about her roots that Lauren never gave her. All she knows is that she was born in Paris and lived there until her real mother- Lauren's best friend, India Vernon- died far too young. Others might be convinced that Nelie can take care of herself in a foreign city, but Lauren learned long ago that courage isn't always enough to keep you safe.
Returning to Paris, where every picturesque street rings with blissful and bittersweet memories, is the most difficult thing Lauren has ever done. There are secrets here, long bured but still potent enough to wreak havoc. And before Lauren's search is over, she'll realize that Nelie isn't the only one who's about to have her whole life-and everything she ever believed- turned upside down . . .

Not too bad,
By Jessica Thompson (Burley Idaho) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Paris Match (Paperback)
Although the book was highly predictable, with its silly coincidences, and character flaws, I did enjoy the book. It was charming and heart warming, and for the most part a page turner. It wasn't outstanding, but it wasn't terrible either. To the author I would say, for your first novel, good work and keep writing.

engaging and suspenseful--a satisfying story,
By A Customer
This review is from: Paris Match (Paperback)
In her quest to find her teenage daughter who has run off to Paris, suburban housewife, Lauren confronts her disquieting past and begins to question the choices she has made. Lauren's journey takes her to the vibrant streets, cafes, and art galleries of Paris, reconnecting her with friends and places she left behind. More importantly, she journeys inward, facing her greatest fears, and ultimately recognizing she needs to be true to herself. Engaging and suspenseful, "Paris Match" is a great story. My 7th grade bookworm couldn't put it down, and chose to use it for her English class essay assignment. If you are looking for an entertaining and satisfying read, try "Paris Match".
