If you haven't seen "Paris" in the cinema or on DVD then, maybe, this won't hit the button... but if you have, and if you enjoyed its wonderfully reflective storyline, then this is money well spent because, like the film, it absolutely captures the "feel" of Paris in all its glory. Unlike many soundtrack albums this isn't just a repetition of several key theme tunes reworked to fit different scenes. It is, like Paris itself, a kalaiedescope of different things... in this case superbly evocative & exciting music from Eric Satie through to reggae, Wilson Pickett and raw punk, with some exquisite electro-jazz on the way. And, if you know Paris, then this is the city captured in music: at times ecstatic, often deeply reflective, occasionally abrasive or lonely but, at all times, unforgettable. It's a lot of money to pay for a CD but it hasn't been off our stereo for weeks.

When i heard the first song at the beginning of the movie, Paris, i already knew that i had to have the soundtrack. As the story unfolded with the beautiful scenery, i was in another world...somewhere timeless...and yet familiar... Then came the second song of the soundtrack: Sieze the day, the day..., seize the day, the day... Beautiful voice and lovely atmosphere. Nice reminder. My heart was sold. I recommend this to anyone who likes the smell of rain, of fresh flowers, and the clear, blue sky, and maybe rainbows too. The rest of the soundtrack is a unique mix, some that makes you want to dance, typically French selection. Excellent. Check out the second song on YouTube first and you'll know what i mean.

The soundtrack Paris is an adventure as was the moving and wonderfully made film. After watching the film at least three times then purchasing the soundtrack it sent me into the depths of the film again for another exciting visual and sound experience. Words cannot begin to convey the enjoyment I get from it. Many thanks.

The dynamite soundtrack to a wonderful movie. It is a vivid recollection of many beautiful scenes and containd the knckout Rhassan Roland Kirk/Quincy Jones version of I'm Comin' Home.
