The life of office lady Ning Mo, heroine of the book is caught in a ferris wheel. Like other white collars in Beijing, she lives a boring nine-to-five life. Her job sounds beautiful: fashion editor. However, she is creeping on the outer edge of the fashion world, wearing the empresss new clothes, taking buses like common people, working like an ant, and is stuck in the crack of old love and new life. There is a kind of life called ferris wheel: you are always standing in the sight-seeing booth, looking at the landscape, but even when you reach the highest point, the landscape does not belong to you. Finally you have to get down the ferris wheel and leave alone.

We have used the same set of tumblers since 1993, and still love them. I used them to take drinks for my kids when they were young, and now they used the tumblers everyday. I want to have extras on hand, and am surprized to find they are a discontinued item. Thank God for Amazon!

The (unfortunately) discontinued Tupperware Thirstquake tumbler holds just shy of a quart of your favorite refreshment. The lid seals tight so you can shake it to mix the contents. The flap that closes the spout opens to drink directly from the container or use the hard straw that is sometimes included. Extremely convenient size to store in the refrigerator. Cons are that it sweats quite a bit with a cold drink inside and I don't think it does very well in the dishwasher.

Actually the better half just needed the little cover for the spout, but couldn't find one, so we ordered the whole thing. This is just what I have come to expect from tupperware. Excellent quality that will last forever.
