Two parts of my review:

Part I: The person who negatively reviewed the "build quality" of this product and claimed something made of a 100% stainless steel started rusting almost immediately is most likely a competitor. There's no way this would rust, and the build quality is great. They reviewed two products by this company negatively, and then their only other review is cherries. So, ignore that review.

Part II: The reason you want an all metal shaker is because it is more conducive of friction (to create heat and melt the ice) than using a boston where the ice is going back and forth from metal to glass. So, I've been waiting to get this in, because I'm a bartender in a big city, and I've wanted an all metal shaker for sometime (2-piece, that is), and I am very pleased with it. My hands are not small, but they're not gigantic, and I've always thought shaking a boston with a pint glass in one hand is a bit precarious, and this thing feels great when shaking with one hand.

So, the rest of my review is pretty insignificant unless you're working at a bar and your aim is speed. If you're a home enthusiast, then the rest of my comments will probably sound knit-picky:

The top slips inside the outer lip of the bottom half easily and creates a tight seal, and can be removed with ease (as opposed to the need to smack a pint glass on a boston to get it off). The other thing I was curious about prior to ordering it was whether the thing could stand upright with the top half placed on the bottom while I'm making a drink. The answer to this is-- yes, it's pretty sturdy standing upright with the top half placed on the bottom.

This is built well and works well. It's not that large. If you are mixing more than 2 drinks, you should find a larger shaker.
We bought this in hopes of finding a shaker that would easily open after being shaken with ice. This does the trick.
It also has a nice stainless steel finish.

If you're a cocktail enthusiast like I am, and looking for something new other than the cobbler or boston shaker then this is a pretty good parisienne shaker. also, the only one i could find for a decent price. I won't go into details of the shaker because I assume if you're looking for this then you are already aware of how this thing works. The volume is def smaller than the regular boston I use, generally I make one cocktail at a time in this thing (~ 4 oz liquid). You can do two, but it gets a little full once you add the ice. I did not give it 5 stars because within 3 months of using it, there is a slight rust discoloration to the bottom of the shaker. It is small (about 3-4 mm long) along the bottom edge. It is not actually rust, just the sheen of the silver has worn off a little. I only hand wash and dry, no dishwasher.

You know, this shaker is alright - it looks fantastic, but I'm just not sure a Parisienne style shaker is every going to work as well as a Boston style. It has nothing to do with this product in particular, it's just the nature of this kind of design, which is hard to open and doesn't seal completely airtight. I find it especially frustrating to use when making drinks with egg whites which tend to pop the seal. If you're buying this more for looks, to make simple drinks, or already have a Boston style shaker, I think you'll be happy - that's why I got mine and I really like the way it look in my bar and I do use it from time to time, even it's not the workhorse in my house. If this is your one and only shaker for your bar, I might encourage you to get something else first.

Small (good for one or two cocktails at a time), sturdy, doesn't leak, and easy to clean. The top can be a little difficult to get off, but a strong twist and gently rocking the top will break the vacuum. Oh, and it looks nice.

We used this shaker twice and, each time, it completely stuck together and we had to bang it on our sink to try to open it. Would not recommend this at all.

Great shaker. I can make all sorts of drinks with it. I like this style better than the 3 piece shakers with the strainer built in.
