5.0 out of 5 stars Great casual napkin
I bought these as part of my 'going paperless' efforts, and they're my favorite compared to the other brands/styles I bought. The cloth itself is soft, launders and folds easily, and seems to be sturdy/long-lasting. The neutral color and casual feel is great for daily use (read: you probably won't want them for nice dinners).

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice, but have issues
These are nice thick napkins BUT they wrinkle terribly when washed and dried. I had to iron them after washing and drying them and that just seems ridiculous. Unfortunately that means I will not use them as often as I would have liked.
I also agree with the review regarding packaging. There was a lot of it and quite unnecessary.

These are thicker and bigger than most cloth napkins, which makes them perfect for napkin-necessary meals (like corn on the cob or BBQ). The dark color means the stains don't show, and the denim keeps it casual. This was just what I wanted, and we're already ordering more.

5.0 out of 5 stars sturdy cotton, cheerful blue color, May 10, 2010

These cotton napkins are just what I was seeking. Sturdy, soft on the mouth, large enough, easy to wash, no ironing needed.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hassle to wash, badly packaged, September 22, 2010

The positives: Works fine as a cloth napkin, made from fabric scraps.
The negatives: Very overpackaged. The bundle of napkins is wrapped in plastic: straight to a landfill. Then there are many plastic tags attached to each individual napkin: straight to a landfill. Plastic sticker attached to each napkin: yes, to the landfill. How exactly is that eco friendly?
Washing instructions specify a cold water gentle cycle and then hanging to dry. What?! These things are going to be massively food stained and they can't survive a regular wash and dry?!

love the philosophy and the quality and the look. they seem they'll hold up well. there were comments from other reviewers on the packaging, indeed it's annoying...but i guess it could be worse.
