Functional and attractive.
This "faux" Roman shade is attractive and functions smoothly on the "up / down" pulls. It hangs very nicely on the pole curtain rod I installed, and it took almost no effort to put up compared to what would have been involved in installing a "real" Roman shade on the appropriate hardware. Looks good but...
I bought this because it advertised that it blocks light. Well, it didn't. However it does look nice.

This "faux" Roman shade is attractive and functions smoothly on the "up / down" pulls. It hangs very nicely on the pole curtain rod I installed, and it took almost no effort to put up compared to what would have been involved in installing a "real" Roman shade on the appropriate hardware. My only critique is that the faux suede material is much thinner than I anticipated -- more like a clothing-weight fabric than an uphostery one -- so when you pull the shade up and down you must also adjust the pleats by hand to get them to fall properly. Overall, though, it looks attractive and I am happy with it.

Ordered this shade because it is called "dark" sage and color in picture indicated it to be a rich, dark sage color. Color is definitely not "sage" in any way. It is light green.
