Made of a flexible, non-skid rubber-like material that is oil and gasoline resistant. We've made the Parking Mat bright yellow so it is highly visible when pulling into the garage.  The design of the Parking Mat allows the driver to drive over the first bump, which signals the driver to stop.  A second bump, slightly larger, tells the driver (s)he has gone too far.  There is a sturdy handle molded into the second bump.

I bought two sets of these mats. They look nice, but you must be aware that they will slide somewhat, so you have to adjust them periodically (perhaps weekly). One would have to nail these to the floor to keep them in place!
I initially gave this one star, but have recently tried using them again, and have changed my mind somewhat. A more realistic rating would be 3 stars. There doesn't seem to be a good alternative - I tried the electronic type which measures distance from a sensor. The one I had was very accurate for about two weeks, then stopped working altogether.

these mats are poorly designed/made because the plastic is warped and there is no way to securely attach them to concrete (even with stickies).

I've had one of these for over a year. Although it is advertised as being brightly colored for visibility, it can't been seen once you start into the garage because it's below the driver's field of vision. But it does help placement of the car and, as long as speed is slow, it's easy enough to stop once you feel that first bump. It stays in place most of the time. Driving onto the tongue of the mat keeps it in place under the weight of the car. But in wet conditions, as the mat dries, it may stick a bit to the tire and be pulled out of position as the car is later backed off the mat. Fortunately we can usually feel that happen and can place it back into position. To facilitate this, I recommend putting a small mark on the garage floor once you know where you want the mat.
