Great system, recommended, July 17, 2006
Overall, the set is pretty good. The poles are very lightweight (aluminum) and easy to adjust with three different heights. Also, it is very easy to set-up and the tension rings work well. The ground stakes are also heavy duty and hold the guy lines very well. My only complaint with the system is the net design. One of the bottom loops (the net has 4 loops on each side) broke the first time I set up the system and I had to sew it back together. Also, this type of net does not allow for a really tight net for good "play out of the net" although it's not bad. I am planning to buy a better net but the rest of the system is pretty high quality. And for the price, less than 130 dollars, you won't find another set that has these very nice lightweight aluminum poles and the easy set-up so I have to recommend it but you probably will want a better net even for recreational play. Since I bought this the price has dropped even lower so I would definitely recommend at the current price.

Loads of Fun!, July 25, 2007
In where I live, portable beach volleyball sets are practically non-existent here, unfortunate to say. Being an amateur at the game still, I was looking for something in the mid-range for durability and value for money.
With luck, I chanced upon the Park & Sun brand and got to know that it is one of the established and recognized brands in the market. Initially I had planned to purchase the Park & Sun Flex 1000 Tournament Series instead because it had such rave reviews and was in the same price range as the Spectrum series. However, it was not in stock and I was too anxious to start playing then to wait for a couple more weeks for stock to arrive. Hence, I purchased this Park & Sun TS-179 Spectrum 179 Volleyball Set instead.
The package arrived in OK condition, though I thought it could have been more professionally packed rather than in just a plain white shabby looking box. Nevertheless, what mattered was that the poles, net and other accessories came neatly packed. I've used it for a couple of weeks now and it has proved to be a sturdy set, strong enough to withstand many amateurish serves into the net and crashing bodies.
My only misgivings about this set are:
1. The guy-lines came with tension rings instead of handles as stated on the Amazon description.
2. The court boundary was a thin yellow nylon string that does not stand out clearly on the sand.
Other than that, I give this set two thumbs up and will definitely consider the Park & Sun brand again when I master my serves.

Great net, great price., September 14, 2006
We ordered this net to just play in our backyard, and it is excellent. Very easy to set up with two people, and unlike other nets, this net is tight, which is a good thing. The poles are heavy-duty and hold up great. Also, the poles fold down and are very easy to store.
This is a great net system for any place... This is not a cheaply-made net at all.
