This has been "the" outdoor net system for serious outdoor grass players for over twenty years, and I see nothing changing. The poles are the easiest to set up I've ever used, very sturdy, and set up a tight net.

The net itself on the system I received was defective. This is very rare for this company, and even more rare was the service I received when I called their toll free number: immediate satisfaction. They didn't even ask that I bother to send back the defective net, just take a digital photo and send it over the internet. Oh yea, they sent the net before I even got around to sending them the e-mail! This meant that my high school girls team could use it at the time I had planned. This service is greatly appreciated by our team, and I'm a customer for life.

This system has been updated since the days I played competitive outdoor ball, and the new tightening handles on the guylines are entirely effective, no-slip, very easy to use and strong. What more could one ask for?

Overall, if you're a serious outdoor player, you could not go wrong with this system. There are other systems that put up a great net, but none that are this easy to set up.

I play a lot of outdoor volleyball and did a lot of research when I was purchasing an outdoor net. Although the Spectrum Classic is rather expensive, it is a reliable, top-notch system. I would pay the extra money for the Classic instead of the 2000 because of the wider poles. Another positive is the three height adjustments. Overall, this net is super easy to set up and tear down. I hope to use this net for years to come.

So here's the deal. If you're reading this review, you're in the same boat that I was in a couple months ago when trying to decide where to buy a net. My advice is to look no further than this net right here. I have played of several nets and can tell you this one is LEGIT. I would call myself an intermediate player and trying to improve my game and having the right equipment (like a good net) helps you with your game. A couple of things that I liked about this net that separates itself from the more 'economical' models is that....

1: It is the quickest setup of any net I have ever seen. with 2 people, you can easily get it up in 5 minutes or less. Disassembling is just as quick as well. I had one friend that bought one of the lower end nets and the assembly/disassembling was a joke and eventually ruined the set. I would highly recommend bringing a hammer in for the spikes.

2: The guides (shown in the picture with the black handle) make it a nice firm net. Every ball can be played off the net, and you're not dealing with a droopy net in the middle either. And the guides don't comes loose once somebody hits it off the net once. They stay firm throughout competition. I usually play 2-3 hours at a time and MAYBE have to adjust it 3-4 times to adjust the firmness.

3: This one has 3 levels: Mens, Womens, and Co-ed. This is really nice if your playing Co-Ed to offer to the ladies a more competitive net to play on. This height feature is what I think separates itself more from the lower models. My other friend bought the Flex 1000, and even though he had his height on 'mens' height, it ended up being a couple inches shorter (than the spectrum classic), which does matter in competitive play.

The classic is better than the 2000 series. It has wider poles and better lines and spikes. Best bang for buck.

This net is everything that all other reviewers have written about it. Easy to put up <10 minutes with 2 people, easy to tighten and everything from the poles to the net and the boundary lines have a quality feel to them.

I purchased the net and promptly used it to play about 5 hours of volleyball on the Fourth of July. Everyone commented about the increased quality of the net, tightness of the net and the ball play that could be had off the net compared to the set which I've used in the past.

My only problem is, that with less than a full day's worth of play in, a few places on the net (the twining) broke in about 2 or 3 areas. Now its not a major problem as the integrity of the net is still there but I was disappointed that even a portion of the net would break on the first day of use.

Anyways, its a great net and I'm assuming that the net I got had some manufacturing imperfection or defect and probably does not bode for the quality of all Park & Sun nets but I cannot give it the five stars that it (probably) deserves.

I purchased this recently from Amazon and couldn't be happier about the purchase. I've used the net several times and found it very convenient to set up: unravel net, click-adjust legs to one of three heights, pound in stakes, pull guylines taught by simple use of a handle, and set the boundary. Very, very simple, especially when compared to the cheapo discount store variety of net systems. I've purchased several of those over the years, and found them all to be a royal pain to set up. With the Spectrum Classic, it's easy, and I know I've purchased the last system I'll need for the next 15 years or so.
