Best chain cleaner available,

This review is from: Bike Cleaner - Park Tool - Park CB-2 Citrus Chain-Brite Cleaner (Misc.)
I have been using ChainBrite since it was CB-1. While Park would like you to use in their Cyclone chain cleaner, it is very wasteful. Generally I use Simple Green to knock off the majority of the chain grime and then use the Chain Brite on a rag (with gloves) to clean the chain. While this does not clean the chain as well as the Cyclone, there is really no need to submerse the chain in solvent anyway. I also use Simple Green and ChainBrite to clean the chain rings, cogs, cassettes etc. While Simple Green cleans off the big stuff, ChainBrite melts away the hard to get sticky grime and leaves everything shiny clean. While citrus cleaners cost a lot less, this is not a citrus cleaner, it is a real cleaning solvent that flat works better than anything else I've tried.

While there are generic solvents readily available for cheap (Kerosene), this is supposedly made specifically for bike parts. It works fine. Others are complaining about how there isn't enough. Here's a tip. After using it, strain the fluid and reuse!

Simple Green at full concentration is a very affordable and "green" way of keeping your drivetrain clean. For a really thorough cleaning, I like to use Simple Green (full strength) in the Park CM-5 chain cleaner, then a run through the CM-5 with clean water, followed by a second round of Simple Green then a final rinse with clean water. The Park cleaner is fine, but spendy.

I've used a few types of cleaning fluids and chain cleaners without decent results. I finally decided to bite the bullet, get a chain removal tool, chain links and learned how to remove and replace chain via YouTube vids. Once I was comfortable with that I took chain off and placed it into a cheap flat plastic container and poured in anough Chainbrite to cover the chain. After a vigorous shake and leavine for a few mins the chain was completely clean, all dirt/grime/oil was removed and ready to be disposed of. At $8 a pop it is good value, retail stores are charging up to $15. Highly recommend it.

I use this with the Park Tool Chain cleaner and it works really well. Like the other reviewers say, this is expensive and there are plenty of cheaper cleaners that will work just as well on the chain so I use this for major cleanings like end of the season cleanings and use generic cleaners when I just want to clean gunk off the chain after a hard and dirty ride. I actually like this better than generic cleaners and would use it more if it were cheaper. The price here isn't bad, it's 30% off so people who don't want to fool around with generic cleaners will find this a pretty good deal.
