Excellent, lofi tool. Compact. Good design. Well made. Simple. Nothing breakable like some of the foldables.

I've had a couple of these over the years, given to friends etc. Simply the best, lightest on-the-road biking multitool around.

I can use each part of the MT-1 on my Schwinn Avenue Hybrid. the MT-1 is 4 1/2" long x 1 3/8" wide x 3/8" thick, and about 1 1/2 oz. its strong but not like solid steel, feels like an alloy, I did bend it just a teeny tiny bit tightening my kickstand bolt (8mm), but I was putting ALOT of torque on it, and it still works fine. its kind of nice like the old style dog bone style bike wrenches. there are a lot of new bike tools available that are great but some of the older bike tools are my favorite. best thing to do, go over your entire bike writing down each screw, nut, bolt and any other part that might need attending to and then put together your tool kit accordingly. multi tools are way cool but every one iv looked at either has too many tools I dont need or not enough tools I do need.

I had to dock a star for the poorest finish of any tool I've ever seen in my life. It's pretty amazing how bad the example Amazon sent me really is. It's made in the USA, while some newer park tools are actually made in China now-a-days, and I have a small fortune invested in Park Tools. The China made Park Tools I have are actually finished so much nicer than this thing. Anyway, enough about the finish, let's get to the good stuff. Brilliant design, although it would have been nice if it had 2.5mm and 2mm hex wrenches, but oh well. Small, lightweight, and fits easily in my portable tool sack, that I carry on rides. There are no markings identifying sizes of each portion of the tool. That would have been a nice (easily done) addition, but not necessary. Of course it doesn't have a 15mm axle wrench on it! That would have made the tool much larger, and heavier. I carry a Surly Jethro Tule for that role. This is strictly for my "travel kit" tool bag, at home, in the shop, I use much more comfortable tools - but on a ride, this is a great, compact solution to most fasteners on modern, better quality bikes. The finish is so poor though, with sharp "seams" and machine marks, that this may very well be the last Park Tool Brand I ever buy. I can see their quality is degrading, and I'm jumping off the boat before it sinks. If you're like me, you'll finish the tool with a small file, which should have been done by the maker at the factory.

only multi-tool in my bag and since my bike is almost strictly hex bolts, there's nothing else necessary. as mentioned in other review the wrenches are strategically placed so that you don't hit into parts of the bike. a well thought out tool!

The Park MT-1 Rescue Tool is named exactly right. If you have a loose hex nut on the road (brakes, gears, cranks, etc.) this tool will tighten it. The most essential is the 8mm hex for tightening a loose crank arm nut. Not many riders carry an 8mm and this very strong tool solves the problem with very little extra weight in your saddle bag.

This has just about all you need for quick repairs and adjustments on the road. No need to carry anything bigger or heavier, this can just slip into whatever small bag you like, maybe with a spare tube or patch kit and some tire levers. I love that it is all one solid piece, with nothing to break or loosen: it is a great replacement for the swiss army style tool that I had been carrying.

This tool was smaller than I thought when I received it after my on-line purchase. That said, it is s nice, compact and very useful tool that I keep in my bike rescue kit.
After a trail ride the Park Multi-Tool was useful to tighten my kickstand hex fastner that came loose. The 8mm hex worked perfect. I also use the tool to check the other hex fastners before a ride such as on the brake components. It is true as Park says "[e]ach of the nine tools is carefully positioned so the MT-1 can be effectively used on those "tough to get to" nuts, bolts, and screws."

Having an emergency tool that cannot take a nut off to remove your tire is next to useless 'save your money and get some proper tools.
