What else can be said about Park Tool's products? They're best in class, but you pay for it. If you need to install the starnut in your aluminum or steel steer tube, this thing gets the job done. (You don't need this for carbon steer tubes, they use a compression plug) It drives it in straight and smooth.

At ~$17 for a $5 piece of metal, Park Tool should at least provide some lube. ;)

Does exactly what I want (setting star nut) without flaw. Be sure to get a rubber mallet as well.

I have this tool and it makes putting in a star nut easy.Glad I have this tool saves money in the long run.

The threads on the tip of the product, that which holds the star nut in place, came damaged. It is still useable but can damage the threads on the star nut itself, which is pretty important to have in tact.
The product was not advertised as damaged, but to be fair it was not advertised as new either. I just assumed it was new since it cost 2 dollars more than the other "new" ones that are not distributed by Amazon. The distributor altogether ignored mentioning the condition the product was in, and thought it was ok to charge more than the other ones being sold that are probably in better condition.
