Not really like Sorry! at all, it's still a hilariously fun sliding game. Kids and adults will both enjoy it.

AWESOME!!! I bought this game to advance my 2nd graders from the classic SORRY! game they have always loved. This version has added an exciting twist and skill to the board that keeps them interested and certainly in great competition. They love the excitement of how much their score can change throughout the game based on how pawns slide onto the game baord and bump into other pawns. The concept of scoring was easy for them to understand yet challenging enough for keeping track of each round. They certainly enjoyed the familiarity of the SORRY concept and most excited about the variation capabilities in this set. Another feature I did not expect so much excitement from was the pawns. Every player gets 8 pawns, 4 tiny ones for scoring and 4 "sliders" with steel balls inside them. The rule is one tiny pawn to a large sliding pawn. To teach them the relation of scoring, I let them know that every big pawn has ONE "buddy" (little pawn)..and that they stick together throughout the game.
The game is very well constructed. I use alot of games in teaching and this is impressive! Don't hesitate! You're FAMILY will love this one!

My son had been begging for this game after seeing the commercials. He got it for his birthday. It is a lot of fun for the whole family. My son is 7 and my daughter 9. We all have a great time. It's very simple to learn and set up and has several different versions to play. It's like shuffle board. I would recommend this game especially if you are looking for a family game that everyone will enjoy.

Great game! Our 2 teenaged boys joined my husband and me to play and we all had a blast! It's a fun party game too since the rules are quick and easy to learn, which also makes it great for family get-togethers; kids to grandparents can play it. I bought several as gifts for nieces and nephews.
I took points off for durability only because the game would be unplayable if the cardboard tracks became bent.

This is a Great Toy, But for Amazon to allow this to be sold through PRIME at $45 is totally unjustified. I know its becoming hard to find, most retailers, Walmart, Target(priced at $15) Toys R Us at $24,are out of stock. But Rip Off is a Mild term to use in this instance. Amazon, get it off Prime. I dont pay an annual fee to be ripped off in Prime.

GREAT FAMILY GAME!!!!! My 5 yr old daughter absolutely thinks its a hoot! My husband played with us and we had a blast. It actually gets your adrenaline flowing and your family is having fun being competitve but also you cracking each other up. [...]. There are so many ways to customize the track board its a gift that keeps on giving. I highly recommend this game.

Sorry Sliders Gets Dull Fast,

This was fun for my 8 1/2 year old daughter for a few plays, but even with the varying set-ups it gets dull and repetitive fast. She got it out for a few playdates with friends, but none of them were interested in even finishing one game.
I'm surprised to hear complaints about set-up, though. It's easy and intuitive how to set it up the first time and once the plastic railings have been snapped onto the edge of the cardboard before the initial play session, they do not have to be dismantled for storage. After the simple initial set-up, you just have to lay one piece of track on to another to prepare to play. It's not complicated at all.

It's hard to pry children under 15 away from their electronics. They don't want to interact with their peers, parents, grandparents, etc if electronics are available.
This toy quickly took its place in the household as "if we can't play electronics, this is the next thing we'll look for". It's especially good for mixed-age groups. The preschoolers can play it with the teenagers, or their grandparents. Even when there's a horde of children wanting to play, they work out the rules among themselves and negotiate (no, that's not over the line, yes it is). This is a good social game.

Just a head's up to everyone out there this holiday season. I looked high and low for this game and found many different prices for it. I did find it at my local Wal-Mart for $15.00!! Not kidding!!! They had a ton of them in stock. I asked if it was a special deal and was told no, it's just good pricing.

The classic game of Sorry has always been a huge hit with our family. I picked up this newer Sorry game for my daughter's 7th Birthday and it has become an instant classic. Her friends always want to play it when they come over and it never gets old. The great thing is that a 5 year old can play this game with no supervision or coaching. The kids absolutely love this game. It's built well, easy to assemble and put away. Not too many pieces (like stacks of playing cards and whatnot).
The other great thing about this game is that it is equally fun for adults. It pretty much puts everyone at the same level, so it's not uncommon to get beat by a 5 year old, even when you try your hardest. After the kids have gone to bed I like to switch up the board to create a new game where you have to really slide the pieces down a long alley... almost like shuffle board. I haven't tried it yet, but I think there are probably a few great drinking games that can be created using this game. This is a great game and I am so happy that I purchased it.... And I don't even really like board games all that much. This one is different. Pick it up, or you'll be Sorry! |
