Rolex, Montblanc, Mercedes-Benz - these are names that we all associate with the highest levels of product quality in the world. But those in the know will tell you that Omega makes a heck of a watch. Cars from Lexus and BMW can hold their own against MB's best and Parker makes outstanding pens. I collect pens and have the entire Parker Duofold line. These are elegant writing instruments (dare not call them just pens). Their mechanisms are smooth. The fit and finish is perfect. The Parker refill is an industry standard and significantly cheaper than Montblanc's. And they make an amazing, fine point gel refill (the German brand still doesn't do gel at all.) Their rollerball pen can also take a fine point liquid ink or gel refill - about half the price of Mountblanc.

Don't need the snowflake on your pen to feel confident about your writing instrument, I recommend the Parker Duofold line.

I have had a pair of Parker Dufold fountain and ballpoint pens for over twenty years and they are used on a daily basis. They are both superb writing instruments. The fountain pen in particular has outstanding feel and balance, a beautifully smooth nib and is my pen of choice, even though I have a couple of more expensive pens to choose from. Furthermore, and should it ever be needed, Parker's US based Service Department is first class!
