5.0 out of 5 stars Parker Labs Ultrasound Gel
Bought this to replenish supply of gel that came with my portable ultrasound device. Positives: Evaporates slowly, lubricates for the full several minutes of ultrasound treatment, wipes off readily after use, no fragrance.

1.0 out of 5 stars Did not work well with Fetal heart rate dopplers
This gel had great reviews so I decided to try it pout with my Sonoline B. My Sonoline came with ultrasound gel that worked really well; I was even able to pick up a heartbeat immediately. I went to the doctor a few days later and saw that she was using Parker Labs ultrasound gel. I was excited since I had just ordered some to replace my current gel. Well long story short...

5.0 out of 5 stars Works for Sports Heart Monitors Too, December 14, 2008
This review is from: Parker Laboratories Aquasonic Ultrasound Gel .25 Liter Bottle (Health and Beauty)
I got this quarter liter bottle of "ultrasound" gel for use with my Polar Heart Monitor strap, which monitors my pulse during athletic workouts. It works great, and it's a fraction of the cost of products made specifically for that purpose. (The total cost, including shipping, was $7.79 --- that's less than the pre-shipping cost for *far* smaller containers of the items specially made for sports heart monitors.)

I recently got a home ultrasound unit. The company that makes it--which is highly reputable and provides wonderful customer service--also makes an ultrasound gel. They send a complimentary bottle with your first order.

This gel is half the price; and in my opinion, much better. It's unscented, so your house doesn't smell like a PT facility after you use it. The bottle is very well-designed: you can control exactly how much gel comes out. With the other product, the bottle had a much wider opening. The tendency was to get a huge glop of gel, more than you can use (because you have to shake the bottle hard to get the gel to come out). Believe me, this is a process that gets MESSY. You have to watch out, or you'll have gel everywhere. You don't want to make it even worse.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Product, June 11, 2009

Bought this to use with my ultrasound muscle machine. Works well.
Provides good contact with machine. Does not dry out too fast so I can use for full 30 mins of treatment. Does not leave my skin sticky. Seems to hold consistency with time. I have bought other gels and over time they seem to get thicker. Nice easy to use bottle - comes out well and even.

5.0 out of 5 stars The same kind my doctor uses!, January 2, 2007
This review is from: Parker Laboratories Aquasonic Ultrasound Gel .25 Liter Bottle (Health and Beauty)
This is the same gel that is used at my doctor's office and at the ultrasound center. I ordered it to use along with my fetal doppler. The bottle is so large, I highly doubt I'll be able to use much of it before my babies are here!

This is the same gel that my physican uses when she does my doppler in the office. This gel works extremely well and I'm very impressed with this product. When I bought the dopler it said I could use lotion or water but I've found this makes the best connection with which to hear the baby.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product!, December 9, 2010

I got this gel to use with my fetal doppler device. I had tried to use the device with some lotion and baby oil but had no luck with either. I was so pleased when I found my baby's heartbeat almost instantly when I used it with the gel. The gel had no smell and was easy to clean both off my belly and the device. It seemed that a little went a long way because I used a pea sized amount. Much less than the giant glob they put on my belly at the Dr's office. I listened to my baby's heartbeat for over 5 min. and had no trouble with the gel drying. I would recommend this as necessary for use with any fetal doppler device as it had almost no static. I can't for sure say how it would work with any other type of devices because I don't use them but if it's anything like the outcome with my doppler I would imagine it would be good for other things as well.

My wife ordered this for use with the Angelsound fetal doppler( which is also great) and found that it helped deliver great sound, allowing us to hear our little one's heartbeat. it is gooey, but not oily and cleans up easily. The bottle size is great and we will have about half left over after this pregnancy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for use with an therapeutic ultrasound device to heal injuries, July 7, 2011
This review is from: Parker Laboratories Aquasonic Ultrasound Gel .25 Liter Bottle (Health and Beauty)
My doctor had this brand in their office. This gel works great with a therapeutic ultrasound device (doesn't dry out mid-treatment) for reducing swelling and speeding up recovery time.
