I've been an avid bow hunter for years, Hoyt all the way. Friend bought this cross bow, I shot it, I had to have it. Getting older, compound tough on elbows. The Parker Tornado is extremely accurate, fast and honestly it's my "new" favorite weapon. I've had it for 1 week, killed 2 deer and they dropped in their tracks. Never did that with my Hoyt. I feel quite comfortable shooting free hand at 60 yards, its amazingly accurate. Only regret is not finding this sooner. If your looking for something quiet, very accurate, easy to use, and a killing machine this is it.

Took just 10 shots to sight in at 20 yards; tried 30 yards and hit 1" groups. The next morning sat in the blind 30 minutes and shot a doe at 20 yards. She went about 30 yards and then dropped. Shot the next doe two days later a little further back than I wanted and had to track her for about 100 yards. Both kills left a significant blood trail that was easy to follow. Both shots broke ribs in both deer.
You will not be disappointed in this bow.

I purchased a Parker Tornado last spring at Cabelas in Hamburg Pa, but it wasn't the crossbow that I went there to buy. I had my mind set on a Excalibur, but after seeing how wide it is (about 36in) I was disapointed and I remember thinking that its like shooting a compound bow sideways. That being said I still think the Excalibur is a great product, but after picking up a Parker Tornado, it felt right in my hands, and after taking a few test shots at their indoor range with the sample model I was sold. Never having shot a crossbow prior to that, I didn't know what to expect, but I put two bolts (arrows) in a small red dot about the size of a quarter at 15 yards off hand. This is not a great distance by any means but it told me what I needed to know and I was not able to duplicate that accuracy with some of the other bows. I did read some reviews about limb issues, but I read similar reviews on other manufactures of quality crossbows with the same reports. Keep in mind that many manufactures utilize some of the same sources for their limb construction. Therefore, the vast majority of problems are a result of user error regardless of who manufactured the bow. The important thing is to ensure that you ALWAYS follow the manufactures recommedations for proper shaft weight for the poundage of your bow. Many people are trying to obtain an increasing amount of speed by choosing lighter arrows/broadheads that leads to limb stress. As a rule, its always wise to select arrows/broadhead combinations that are slightly higher than the minimum recommended weight for your bow. I use the Red Hot bolts with 125 Grain Rage Broadheads and the results are outstanding. So far I have had nothing but good things to report about my Tornado from quality construction to extreme accuracy. If you're still undecided, go to a pro shop where you can test the various bows to aid in your decision. Good luck!

Great product if you want quality and can afford to spend to get quality. Archery Bow Shop came through as promised. One word of warning, when you shop Amazon. When you select a price and they show the company it's coming from, do not order then. Got to the company of choice and check their price on their site. If I had done this, I would have saved myself $60.00. Don't screw yourself just because it is Amazon, be much smarter than I was. It will never happen again!!
