Good idea - poor design, February 17, 2005
This review is from: Parking Timer 2.0 with Key Holder, Alarm Clock, Light and Recorder (SR279) (Electronics)
This is a cool little gadget, but I found it difficult to use. All of the operational buttons are on the back of the unit and are in an awkward circular layout. You have to turn the unit over to find the correct button, then back again to see the display. Even if you memorize the layout of the buttons, they are flat, and have no tactile feedback. You find yourself hitting 2 buttons at once quite often. And if you're trying to set the timer in the dark, forget it. The backlit display is nice, but it only stays on for 3 seconds at a time. Not nearly long enough. I`m surprised that this is the second version of this unit, and is still so awkward to use. It's obvious that whoever designed this thing doesn't use one.
