As a former police officer at the Jersey Shore, this series really shows everything dealing with parking. "Customers" who just won't take responsibility that the ticket was their fault, as well as one parking officer that takes her job a little too serious. I never did "booting" where I worked, so I enjoyed seeing the process of booting, towing, and owners recovering their vehicles. Good DVD series !

I like all the episodes. I might not have the patience to watch this series if I were giving it my full attention. Yet with intermittent or half attention, this is very nice.

The real-life characters are inspiring. Whether they had any training in customer service is somehow never mentioned. But holy smokes they are good. Their skills are subtle. I think you have to watch several episodes to appreciate this. Because it's not anything in particular that they say. It's their general demeanor, probably revealing their beliefs.

Also, I like the people that got the tickets or the boot. I like those that take things in stride and the ones that get super angry. That surprised me, that I would like the angry ones. I like the way they speak up for themselves even if the parking enforcers don't have any authority.

One thing I learned: people from Philadelphia more fiercely argue over tickets than those from any other city. After all the episodes, I will be circumspect, declining arguments, if I go to Philadelphia.

I asked a Philly native his two cents on the show and he said the following: I have seen it, and I think it accurately portrays the frustrations that Philadelphians feel toward the Parking Authority. Of course those frustrations are seen from the vantage point of the Parking Authority employees, who are portrayed sympathetically, and I think the point of the show is to make the viewers' sympathy for the employees overshadow any critique of the Parking Authority. I remember trying to contest a parking ticket, and it was so difficult to get any response via phone--and it's so time-consuming to contest a ticket in person--that I ended up paying it. The inefficiencies and unresponsiveness of the system don't get acknowledged on the show, which helps to position the drivers as lunatics.

they should really make more shows like this in other state's, this show is awesome!!!! if you love watching "cops" then you'll prolly love this to cause I love cops and shows like this, this is about the parking meter people giving tickets around Detroit and philly, people literaly harass these metermaids worse then animals get harassed it's insane..it is funny, especially since these people make themselves look so stupid on tv like that lol..

it really surprises me how many people actually allow themselves to loose control over money, money is the root of all evil by the way, and they allow themselves to look like cheap crackheads that are insane and would eventually become a murderer...like what is wrong with these people? they think it's ok to park for 5 minutes illegally for them but if its someone else in the spot they should get a ticket? these people literaly make no freaking sense when they talk back and attack the meter maids...
...
honestly though this show motivated and encouraged me to become a metermaid and give as many tickets as possible to these arrogant inconsiderate punks parking anywhere they want, if they talk back to me I would literaly just laugh in their face. have no idea why you have to PAY for season 1 or 3 (what happened to season 2?) but season 4, 5, and 6 are free, seems weird don't they usualy show the first season then charge for later seasons most the time?? amazon is so weird, but this is an awesome show and very funny!!!!

careful though cause if you try to think why these people act crazy like that you will get a lot of stress and maybe grey hairs, just laugh at them for being stupid.

The perfect mindless show to have on when sewing, crafting, etc. Plus it's funny and makes you yell at the screen "Hey dummy! Stop blaming everyone else because you are a scofflaw!"

If anything you learns about all the scams these cities have to make money on your car. Watch out and stay out of dumps like Detroit.

This show is insanely addictive. The computer graphics are super cheesy, but this show also isn't "Masterpiece Theatre." It's meant to be entertaining. I also completely understand the over-the-top anger and frustration shown by those citizens who are attempting mightily to get their cars out of a Philadelphia impound yard. Watching "Parking Wars" is my new guilty pleasure.
