Landau explains the symptoms of Parkinsons disease, from tremors and rigidity to emotional changes and speech problems, and discusses the difficulty of diagnosing it. Although its cause is not known, researchers speculate that it could be environmental, viral, or even a result of the aging process. Treatment options range from medication to brain surgery to the controversial fetal tissue transplant, and Landau carefully explains both sides of that issue.
