Causic Soul's "Parliament of Rooks" is a goth rock album with heavy metal influences. Musically the album is deep, dark, and heavy. Reverberating sorrow is portrayed through the guitar while followed by a deep voice from the lead singer. I enjoyed this album because it is musically and lyrically powerful. It's full of emotion and portrays that effectively to the listener. A perfect example is "nocturne" - with its powerful piano chords, peaceful animal sounds, and voice which seems to improvise with the blowing wind.
