The Parrot MINIKIT will pair with up to five phones, each with 150 voice tags, and recognizes multiple languages. Once paired, it will connect automatically with the your cell phone and will work with virtually all Bluetooth-enabled cell phones on the market. And, for privacy, you can switch a call from the speakerphone to their cell phone by simply pressing the green "call" button, and back again the same way.
Weighing only 3.5 ounces and measuring only 4.3 x 2.5 x 1.2 inches--about the size of a wallet--the MINIKIT is designed to fit in a pocket or a purse. It features 10 hours of talk time, more than one week of standby time and will fully recharge in only three hours. It comes with both 12V and 120V charging units. Other features include last-number redial and upgradeable software to ensure compatibility with future cell phones.

Once paired, all I have to do is get in the car and turn it on. I have a Blackjack / Samsung SGH-i607.
The volume and clarity is great and almost on par with the built in speakerphone in our 07 Prius The battery seems to last FOREVER. I have not charged it since buying it months ago, and have made 10-15 calls. The auto off works great, but be sure you take your phone far enough to unpair; the range is at least 100ft.

Now that Bluetooth has made these little speakers possible, I'm surprised more people aren't taking advantage of them. I tried a Jabra bt500 headset, but it broke after about 5 days (would only hold a charge for about 12 hours--even if I didn't talk at all, and then stopped taking a charge). When looking for alternatives, I came upon the category of mini car kits, and decided on the Parrot Minikit. I've only been using it for about three days, but I can already say that I love it. I don't have to drive around with a headset plugging up one ear, and this little device puts out clear sound that I can hear clearly at driving speed (in fact, turned up all the way, it's TOO loud)--and no one has trouble hearing me either. The battery life seems to be pretty long (I haven't had to recharge it yet), and it's incredibly convenient to use. Pairing was automatic and easy with my phone, and one button turns it on, a green button answers calls, and a red button hangs up. I haven't had to try the voice recognition features, since my phone has it built in, and the Parrot Minikit uses my phone's built-in voice calling features. It clips onto the car's visor easily. The only (very minor) drawback is that the green and blue buttons flash every 15 seconds or so when the Parrot is on, and while not distracting, it's noticeable when driving at night. Fantastic little piece of equipment for anyone who wants a hands-free alternative to headsets.
Update: Now 2 years later, and with a different phone, it still works great. Everyone thinks I'm talking directly into my phone, and can't hear background noise except on the highway. The volume on calls goes VERY loud if you turn it up--the only problem is that you can't seem to adjust the volume on the voice-control menu; it's always a little too quiet. What's great is that it instantly recognizes and uses my own phone's voice control and phone book--my wife's car has built-in Bluetooth, and you have to program it separately from the phone! It's just now, after 2 years, showing some signs of the battery not quite holding a charge as long as it used to, but I still go for 2 weeks or so between charges, and use it quite a bit. I see that there are now more of these types of products available, including ones that play through your radio, but I'm sticking with my MiniKit until it gives out completely. (One con: it will freeze up once in a great while--for me, about twice in 2 years--where nothing works, and the lights stay on. The only thing I've found you can do is let the battery run down; when you recharge it and turn it back on, it's good as new!)

I purchased this portable Bluetooth speaker kit after reading many positive reviews online. For the most part, this is a high quality product that works very well when it decides to pair fully with my Verizon LG VX8700.
Occasionally though, the voice commands don't function through the Parrot's call buttons, which you're supposed to press once then speak. Most of the time I have to activate the voice commands through the phone, which effectively negates the benefits of leaving the phone in my pocket while driving. Also, when dialing a number or during a conversation, the signal cuts in and out, resulting in a choppy sound. I often find myself asking the person on the other line to repeat themselves. But don't be discouraged, as I still think my issues are related to my phone, and not the kit itself. Nevertheless, I'm strongly thinking about returning it to Amazon if I can't get it to work closer to 100% of the time.
