A Classic Comedian Cult Movie for All........, May 14, 1999
This review is from: Parrot Sketch Not Included [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I grew up listening to these skits on records with my parents. My sense of humor is now polished with the finest of British Humor! I have enjoyed it since the day I first heard it played in my livingroom late at night; while my parents thought I was sleeping in bed. Now that I have a copy of these great skits, my family sits and enjoys laughter all together now. I love the humor and the story lines are to die for .... A must get video.. If you haven't seen it.. at least rent it first and I garantee you will come back to Amazon.com to buy it....

Downright bloody hilarious!!!!, April 12, 2004
This review is from: Parrot Sketch Not Included [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Monty Python in my book can simply do no wrong. Easily the greatest comedy group of all time, and the Flying circus is the greatest television show of all time. 5 years of their greatest work on television is on this illustrious video. Sketches like the argument clinic, spam, banter will have you in stitches for 90 minutes. If you are a Python fan or someone who is just curious this is the video for you. Enjoy!!!!

Retrospective, October 17, 2002
This review is from: Parrot Sketch Not Included [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Like candy, this video is satisfying without being really nourishing. It presents several famous and entertaining bits from Monty Python's Flying Circus, bookended in a throwaway narration by Steve Martin, in an attempt to showcase a full retrospective of the artists' ouevre. It debuted in 1989 at the Aspen Comedy Arts Festival, and was probably quite entertaining, especially since all six members of the group were together there for the last time. Thus, if you want a brief retrospective of several high points of the series, this video may be for you. It doesn't have every piece ever run, but it has enough to be worth it. However, now that the entire run of the show has been released on VHS and DVD, this video may be simply needless. Buy yourself the full series and get ALL the jokes, not a chosen few.
