I have two of these perches and my grey uses one of them all the time and it took him a little longer to get used to the one that has glitter in it. But he uses them both. If you want to introduce them to the perch, have them stand on it and give them something that they really like...a treat or a grape. It really shouldn't take long for them to adjust to it. I feel that they are very stable if you get the proper size for your bird and I have no trouble keeping them clean.

This perch is great and portable and a good size, however my stubborn birds won't stay on it. They just try to fly over to me, (or fall to the ground and come find me). It is great though if I want to bring them in my room with me while I get ready or something. They will stay on it if they don't think they can get to me. Just be sure to put a towel under it to catch the droppings.
