5.0 out of 5 stars Great Item at a Great Price, November 6, 2008

These are great chairs! They are great quality for the price (excluding shipping, this bumps up the price per item.) I have purchased chairs online before and assembled them and so I was not intimidated by putting these together. There was a learning curve on the first chair but after that they went together quickly. Everything was included and packaged separately, by the way you will need a hammer to tap in a small wooden peg. There is a strong petroleum odor though, it is the third day after assembly and there is still a hint of odor, which I figure will dissipate with time. I look forward to having my family over for Thanksgiving Dinner!

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally satisfied., March 17, 2010

I purchased four sets of two of these chairs ( 8 chairs ). The look and finish are very good. Assembly involves one dowel pin (not glued) to position seat to back and ten allen drive bolts per chair. Standard allen wrench is included, but I used a drill/driver set at minimum torque and hand then tightened. I recommend this if you have the tools, after thr first chair it was less than 5 minutes per chair to assemble. The directions are sketchy, and many of the hardware bags were labeled incorrectly, but everything was there.
There was damage to one of the chair legs, and I reported this via email to ByRelax, and received the replacement on the third day. The quality of the service was as satisfying as the quality of the product. (The cartons were labeled Coaster, so I guess that is the manufacturer, and ByRelax the retailer.)

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Chairs, December 28, 2010

I bought 8 of these chairs almost a year ago, and we have really liked them. They are very decent quality, and look really nice around our table. We've had to tighten the bolts on a few of the legs just recently, as they began to loosen and get wobbly, but other than that, I have no complaints. I'd buy them again.

4.0 out of 5 stars What an ordeal, May 12, 2010
This review is from: 2 "new" Parson Chairs Black Leatherette With Cherry Legs
Some washers were missing, some holes were not aligned properly...My 6 chairs took forever to assemble...once assembled each right rear leg had to be leveled as they were shorter than the others.......but after all that, they look good and were priced good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great chairs for the price, September 14, 2010

These chairs are really nice looking and they were pretty easy to assemble. I used a power drill to help screw in the allen bit screws which made life a bit easier. As said in previous reviews some of the chairs do wobble but when you sit down they are fine. I'm sure the problem will go away after being used for some time. The chairs also have a smell to them but that is going away after a while.

Overall they are a great buy and look very nice in our house.

I bought 6 chairs. I received them within 3 days. I am girl and they were REALLY EASY to put together. It took me any hour! A lot of reviews say they are wobbly. But if you adjust the knobs or tighten the knobs on the bottom of the chair like your supposed to they are no longer wobbly!! Also you a screw gun or it will take you forever to put these chairs together!

4.0 out of 5 stars Pricey, considering...., November 6, 2011
This review is from: 2 "new" Parson Chairs Black Leatherette With Cherry Legs
So, I purchased a 6-piece set of these about 5 months ago for about $200 - I think it came out to about twice that with shipping. I could use two more, sure, but at this price, and since I already got 6 for $200, I'm thinking not so much. They're good chairs though, lighter in weight than I expected, and the cherry wood is a bit dark, not much red in it at all if that's what you're going for, but for the money, I couldn't pass it up. I might include a picture later on with this review. Wish there had been more when I purchased them originally, as I just pretty much and to take my chances with the color of the wood. They match my cherry dining table well enough though, and they look much more expensive than they actually are. Do be careful with them though - the leatherette is super thin.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for the price, October 17, 2011

The chairs are aesthetically pleasing, easy to put together, but are sort of flimsy. However, this is what you would expect from leather chairs of this price.

All in all they are a worthwhile purchase.
