This review is from: Part Blood, Part Ketchup: Coming of Age in American Literature and Film (Paperback)
Filled with humor, wisdom and insight -- with chapters like "Violence, Lunacy and Family Values in The World According to Garp," and "Optimism, Innocence and Angst in The Catcher in the Rye" -- this is a true classic about the coming of age classics of our time. If you're interested in literature, film and why they "tell all" in modern narratives, you'll enjoy this read. I gained a deeper appreciation of several beloved protagonists and look forward to sharing what I learned with my book clubs. Thanks!
