Enter a future world in which brains are connected to computers to help run cities and ships; brainless bodies or brawn do the physical work. In each of these stories the brain and brawn team become involved in a mystery that can only be solved through their combined efforts. Constance Towers brings all the characters alive by varying vocal tone and pacing to differentiate among person, computer and brain. The narrative is clearly read and fast-paced. The abridgment is hardly noticeable. If you enjoy McCaffrey's dragon or dinosaur stories, try this twist on the future. M.B.K. (c)AudioFile, Portland, Maine
