This review is from: Partners in Crime (DVD)
(From back cover) Rutger Hauer stars as small-town detective Reardon, a once-disgraced policeman who is assigned to work on a high-profile kidnapping case reporting to a decorated FBI agent, Wallis (Paulina Porizkova), who as luck would have it, happens to be his ex-wife. The clues of the case lead nowhere and tensions mount, until a surprise break fingers a suspect - Reardon! As the victim's body is discovered, the hunter becomes the hunted and Reardon and Wallis must pull out all the stops to prove his innocence and find the real killer.
This is a better than average straight to video movie. The suspense is constant and the editing is above par. Of course Paulina looks better than ever and is starting to become quite an actress.

3.0 out of 5 stars PROPHETIC TITLE, May 4, 2005
This review is from: Partners in Crime (DVD)
Lushly filmed in the state of Utah, PARTNERS IN CRIME is an above-average whodunit. Rutger Hauer gets to play the hero in a rare change of pace, and he is ably supported by Paulina Porizkova as his ex-wife FBI agent. They are re-united when a local wealthy businessman is apparently kidnapped---the viewer knows however that the man has already been shot, stuffed in the trunk of a car, and hidden away in an old storage shed...which just happens to be on Hauer's property. Adding to the mix is the rapport between Hauer and Porizkova and Sarah Ashley as his precocious and all too wise 13 year old daughter. Porizkova is lovely and Hauer gives a deft performance. Not bad for a little known film.
