A Partridge In A Pair Tree,
By A Customer
This review is from: A Partridge Family Christmas Card (Audio CD)
The real-life mother and stepson, have you believing that there was a real family with real Christmas spirit. Including the duet Winter Wonderland. Shirley solos on The Christmas Song and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. Sleighride was played constantly on the radio back in 1971-1974 despite missing vocals by David. "He's Comin'-Comin'" added flair to Santa Claus Is Coming To Town. It's all here!...Enjoy!

Partridge Family Christmas Classic,
By A Customer
This review is from: A Partridge Family Christmas Card (Audio CD)
If I may quote from a Partridge Family episode I still remember from when it first aired: Keith had become infatuated with a classical composer who criticized the Partridges tunes as "so simplistic!" In the final moments of the episode, as the family plays one of their boppier numbers, the composer's teacher and mentor breaks it down for her; "My dear, nothing needs more justification than making people happy." This music is sweet. A great Christmas tradition. MBillow@aol.com

CHRISTMAS MEMORIES,
By A Customer
This review is from: A Partridge Family Christmas Card (Audio CD)
Yes, The Partridge Family was a product: slick, manufactured pop music with only one real voice (sometimes two, when they allowed Shirley's voice to sneak into the mix) from the fun TV show. But do you realize that these musicians and singers were among the best of their day? Who better then to record a holiday album, with spiffy new arrangements of classic songs? Among the best is Tony Romeo's (he wrote I THINK I LOVE YOU) Christmas Card To You, which is a wonderfully sentimental holiday song. Yup, this group is an integral part of my childhood, and evokes a lot of fun -- and funny- memories, but I defy a young listener not to truly enjoy this record on its own musical merit, and as a melodic addition to the season.

This is an album you buy because of the memories in brings back. Every year my five sisters and I reinact The Christmas Card as we did 25 years ago and it brings back great memories. Now our children also join in and dance & sing to this song. Buy it and bring back your teenage years...it feels great!

Partridge's in a Pear Tree,
By A Customer
This review is from: A Partridge Family Christmas Card (Audio CD)
This was my favorite Christmas album growing up, and is still one of my all-time favorites nearly 30 years later! "Christmas Card" was the #1 holiday record in 1971, according to Billboard magazine. David Cassidy was not just another teen idol, he is also a great singer, somewhat under appreciated due to his teeny-bopper image. The arrangements here by producer Wes Farrell are pop music at it's finest. I think the Partridge's version of "Jingle Bells" rocks with the best. Christmas is a time of fun and family, so COME ON, GET HAPPY..and have a very Merry Christmas. This CD will definitely add to your holiday cheer!

I love this album because I grew up in the seventies singing along with the album every Christmas. Many years later my parents received the CD as a gift, and I have not been able to find it. I'm so excited to have found it here! It makes a great sing along album for those of us with fond memories of the seventies and for children alike.
