This sitcom collection features a double dose of 1970s TV fun--with three episodes featuring the Partridge family singers acting alongside the sexy stars of Charlie's Angels. In "The Sound of Money," a cagey con artist (played by M*A*S*H's Colonel Potter, Harry Morgan) tries suing the family for bumping his Studebaker. Conniving Danny and Mr. Kincaid enlist blonde goddess Farrah Fawcett to help trap him, while the rest of the family take a different tack and decide to kill the con with kindness. Voluptuous Jaclyn Smith throws a curve at the suspicious siblings in "When Mother Gets Married." Desperate for a date, single mom Shirley has to fight off the demons of middle age and the depredations of her offspring when an old friend comes to town. Even freethinking Laurie's well-meaning advice does little more than contribute to the madcap romantic chaos! Finally, cute and cuddly Keith faces "Double Trouble" when he lands two dates to the same beach party. The true object of his affections, a fickle Cheryl Ladd (credited as Cheryl Stoppelmoor), has a panicky Keith mastering his romantic moves, which of course backfire hilariously. Fans of the free-love-and-fun-music decade are sure to be delighted. --Grant Balfour

4.0 out of 5 stars Angels, Partgridges, And Yes...Harry Morgan!, February 16, 2009

If you are a fan of Charlie's Angels, this is a must-have collection. It is basically three episodes of The Partridge Family in which an Angel appears in each one. You will see Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith, and a very cute Cheryl Ladd before they ever became "three little girls who went to the police academy." All three episodes are quite fun, but realize up front that none of the Angels play major roles.

The only reason I did not give this five stars is because it is on VHS and the quality is not that great. As for the reviewer who stated that the man who claimed whiplash was William Windom...WRONG! It was indeed Harry Morgan.

3.0 out of 5 stars NO, it was William Windom, February 19, 2007
This review is from: Partridge Family: 6 Partridges & 3 Angels [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The guy who claimed whiplash was William Windom, not Harry Morgan.

As for the "real Keith Partridge", that sitcom was based on the Cowsill family. It's funny that the tv show is remembered and the Cowsills are . . . not so much. They did make it to variety shows, though, such as David Steiberg's Monday night thing. My always-angry father rushed to the tv and turned the channel when they came on. I wish I knew what song it was, I liked the beginning.

5.0 out of 5 stars Garry Hixon/Keith Partridge review, September 6, 2004
By
This review is from: Partridge Family: 6 Partridges & 3 Angels [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Hello out there. I am the real Keith Partridge, my name is Garry Hixon, 39 and head of Mirror Vision Inc. The other real Partridge's are Liz Herbner as Shirley Partridge, 40, Cassiday Styron, 14, as Danny Partridge, (that's right folks, the new Danny is a girl), Pearl Herbner, 12, as Susan Partridge, and Morgan Styron, 11 as Chris Partridge. We are the real Partridge family, despite what David Cassiday and VH1 claim. I came up with the new Partridge family in about 1998, we used to play as them for real at Roandoak of God, in Morro Bay CA. Liz had a VW van, but except for the old broken down, Roandoak school buses on the property, there was no bus. Morgan played drums only once, from what I remember, Cassiday and Pearl sang a few times, but never played bass or keyboards, Liz was the real thing though, she really sang with me and played piano, I was really doing it all though, as Liz(and Shirley Jones) have stated many times. Most of the time, it was just me, as me, and occasionaly Keith Partridge, up on that stage, we did it for years until we all moved on. I almost made it to the tryouts. Looks like they can't find Keith, and I can't find the band. Liz and her kids(despite there different last names those really are Liz's kids) are still around, I said lets go to the tryouts but she lives too far away, I'm afraid that the VH1 version is a scam, I have no intention of becoming Keith Partridge, or reviving us, the real Partridge's(real life), onto the television, buy hey! thanks for asking, we loved living at Roandoak and being the real thing, but it became too much for us, I guess real life is more famous than you realize, love to all and lookout for mirror vision-keith
