Book Description

Do you know what Nouns, Adjectives, Verbs and Adverbs are?

Do you know that the term for these is called "Parts of Speech"?

Over 450 quizzes, thousands of words with definition cluess and tie breaker questions if more than one person is being quizzed.

This book contains thousands of words, with definitions, and the task is to say if it is a Noun, Adjective, Verb or Adverb.

Adjectives are words used for describing something, like beautiful, ugly, bumpy, blue, wet, etc.

Adverbs are used to modify verbs. These tell us when, where, how, in what way or to what extent an action is performed.

A Noun is a person, a place, thing or idea, such as New York City, Father, ball, peace.

A Verb is an action, for example run, jump, talk, whistle, etc.

Ideal for anyone of all ages to educate themselves and have fun at the same time by taking any of these 450+ quizzes. The one who reads the word is the commentator, the person spelling is the speller.

You can play where a person reads out the word for the partner to spell back. If the speller is not sure of how to spell the word, the commentator can read out the clue.

Another version is where the commentator says the word only and awards an extra point for the person who gives the correct or suitable meaning of the word that matches the hidden clue.
