So when do we get another album?,

I still listen to this 5 years later because it's just got great tunes to dance to. I usually listen to it in the kitchen on our CD stereo while cleaning and I have noticed lately that they even use one of the songs on a KFC commerical, so when playing it at a party recently, people kept saying, oh my god thats the KFC song even though the song has been out for a while.
I sure would like a followup but I am guessing they maybe arent together anymore.

This album is better than I expected. I thought every song would be like the Vengabus, and I was WAAAAAAY off. Of course, the Vengabus is the best song on the CD, but a lot of the others rock too. Boom Boom Boom Boom is a great song that is a REAL dance tune. Up and Down is a great song when you listen to it. It could even be used as a workout song. Ho Ho Vengaboys is incredibly catchy. We're Going To Ibiza is my second favorite song on the CD. I wasn't too fond of To Brazil, but it's what you like. Vengababes From Outer Space is ccol too. The last few songs are boring, but I haven't had the patience to listen to those. The first 5 songs are what will pull you in. You'll love this CD if you like to listen to quick music or LOVE dancing! Get it NOW!!!

A straight-up party disc- nothing more, nothing less,

Many people consider the Vengaboys, one of the hottest dance acts to emerge from Europe in recent years, as an untalented and lame outift who work alongside computers and synthesizers and sing really badly to really bad songs. I defenitely prefer to differ. Their debut cd, the Gold-certified THE PARTY ALBUM! (released as UP AND DOWN in the rest of the world) has helped opened up the doors for more European dance acts to explode succcessfuly onto the US charts. Featuring the Top 40 smash "We Like to Party!", the Vengaboys are nothing but pure fun and pure energy...We Like to Party! : This was the Vengaboy's first explosive hit, and with its recognizable synth-line and great chorus, it's easy to undestand why this became one of the biggest dance hits of 1999. Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom! : The perfect club song! At my high school's recent homecoming dance, they played this song (along with "We Like to Party!") and let me tell you the energy on the dance floor was HOT! Up and Down : A #1 smash on the Billboard Dance chart, "Up And Down" was the single that got Europe's attention and helped make Vengaboys one of the biggest dance acts around. So don't go looking for the most critically acclaimed album of the year or a Grammy-winner for this cd. Buy this cd if you're looking for great party music and great fun- you won't be disappointed.

Come on, people. Anyone who releases a CD with songs called "Vengababes from Outer Space" and "Boom Boom Boom Boom" and "Superfly Slick" is obviously not going to change the face of music. Get over it. This album is pure dance delight. From the opening air horn on "We Like to Party" to the Euro-reggae sound of "We're Going to Ibiza" that Ace of Base popularized, and even the Razor-and-Guido-meets-Miami-Sound-Machine "VFOS," "The Party Album!" is definitely a treat to listen to. Buy it for a party, buy it for fun, but buy it.

Let's just get one thing straight here- the Vengaboy's debut, The Party Album!, is defenitly not an artistic achievement- far from it. But that doesn't stop it from being a house-pumping album filled with radio and party friendly hits. Starting with the group's US smash hit, "We Like to Party!", this song is one of the best singles released during the summer of 99. 1999's summer season was wild in the entertainment business, and it was tons of fun for me and my friends. "We Like to Party!" was the perfect anthem. The squiggly-synthesizer lines mixed with Kim and Denise's helium vocals and the funny little bus horn makes the song a riot to dance to. "Boom Boom Boom Boom!" is a high energy riotous dance song filled with strong bass beats and a fun little bridge ("Whoa, whoa, this is what I wanna do..."). "Up and Down" sounds like a different version of "We Like to Party!" with the same squiggly synthesizer lines, but the song is another example of the Vengaboys' delightful dance energy. "To Brazil", "Vengababes from Outer Space", "Movin' Around"- all great fun and great party songs. This party album will defenitly have you ridin' the vengabus once you start dancing to it!

An Awesome Dance/Techno Party Album (hence the name)!,

THIS ALBUM IS AWESOME! It is, in my opinion, much better than the Vengaboys' second album, "The Platinum Album". "We Like To Party", the song from the Six Flags commercials, is only the beginning of the fun you will have listening to this album. It is also a great way to flash back to 1999. Get this album if you like happy dance music. Also kind of like the Vengaboys, Aqua's "Aquarium" album is great too. Now for a song-by-song run-through:
1. We Like To Party (3:42) A Hard to hate, easily a classic. Awesome beats, great synth. This is the theme of all happy dance parties. Great way to start the album. 2. Boom Boom Boom (3:22) A- Not as well-known as "We Like To Party" but has great lyrics. Not as much synth but an awesome song. Too bad it's not in the clubs, because this song could go just as far as its counterpart. 3. Up and Down (3:59) B+ This song is annoying and not as good as the two other singles. Great beats and synth, but just not as memorable. A good listen anyway. 4. Ho Ho Vengaboys (3:41) A Not a single, but just as good! Great beats, great lyrics. Hard not to like, but it has a bad title. Awesome song, though. 5. To Brazil! (3:07) A- Great beats, and great Brazilian music. Not much lyrical variety (unless if 'Brazil, la la la' are extremely poetic lyrics) but fun to dance to anyway. GREAT! 6. We're Going To Ibiza! (3:38) A I like this song and its dance remix. My mom always thought the chorus said "we're going to eat pizza". Awesome song, even if it's more mellow. Another single. 7. Vengababes From Outer Space (3:26) A Awesome beats and music! This song rocks! One of the only songs where the 'vengaBOYS' get to sing. Not the best lyrics of all time, but the beats are cool, so who cares? 8. Superfly Slick (5:21) A+ LOVE THIS SONG! If the chorus wasn't gross (superfly slick d***) then this song would be ultimate. Awesome beats and music. This song is one of the best on the album. 9. Movin' Around (3:48) A++ More of a trance-type of song, which is awesome. I LOVE TRANCE! I also really like this song, even with the wierd alien singers. Totally anthemic, with the music, which you can just get lost in. The best song on the album. Should be a single, because this is 100% club material! 10. The Vengabeat (4:09) B This song is the worst song on the album, but that doesn't mean it's terrible. The beats are strange, but addictive. So is the singing. The stuff gets strange when the rumbling music comes in after the first round of "get with it, get down to the vengabeat". 11. You & Me (5:24) A+ The second-best song on the album. Again, you can really get lost in the music. I didn't like the booming "WELCOME!" at 0:40, but the music and beats are just awesome! This album is simply awesome. 12. Paradise (7:07) A- Freestyle ending! Not the best song on the album, but I like the music. Personally, freestyle isn't my favorite, but on an album like this, it's hard to hate any song. Cool, romantic ending. Oh also, the piano part is just amazing. That you can get lost in. Overall, this album definitely deserves an A. Again, dance fans will go crazy over this album. It's not as cheesy as Aqua, but its a universe away from hip hop and rap. Just awesome. Buy it.

They called it The Party Album for a reason. With consistently catchy beats, this CD will definitely hook any TRUE afficionado of the club-mixed arts. I can't say much for the originality of the tracks' content, but when you remember that they were created to be listened (danced) to one at a time, that becomes a forgivable matter. The electronic pulse is plenty enough to keep you moving. Don't pick this one up if you plan on playing it anywhere without ample slamming space; that is, unless you're unusually skilled at drumming your steering wheel. My advice: don't listen to it all at once--the repetition and sheer lack of true substance CAN become a bore after too long. But if you need a quick boom, boom, boom, boom to pick you up, up, up, up, then check out this megamix of dance-party fun!

Okay, I admit it: I got sucked in by that Six Flags commercial too. Glad that I did! There's no deep, dark, hidden messages in songs like 'Boom Boom Boom' and 'We Like to Party' - just happy bouncey beats. If you like techno, dance or Europop you need to add this to your collection.

If you like dance music, then you'll love "The Party Album". Songs like "Boom Boom Boom Boom!!" and "Up and Down" make you want to dance. I first heard of the Vengaboys on the radio "We Like to Party (The Vengabus) and it began to stick to my head. However when I first heard "Boom Boom Boom Boom!!", I knew I wanted this CD. I heard all the tracks and they have a great beat to them. Even though I got this album a few months ago, I still find myself listening to it. It's a great CD to play at a party and is sure to get many people to dance with its fantastic beat. If all you care about is lyrics to the songs, then don't buy it. If you just want cool songs with excellent beats and some cool lyrics, then be sure to have this in your CD player!
