Editorial Reviews

Party Groove: Blue Ball Volume 3 is full of horns, drums, singing and leads to, of course, lots of dancing. Youve never quite heard anything like this album before.

This review is from: Party Groove: Blue Ball 3 (Audio CD)
I had read that Susan Moribito mixes are quite boring from reviews of her other discs, but I figured it couldn't be that bad, especially considering this was part of the Party Groove series. I should have taken the advice of other reviews. This is really repetitive, non-vocal stuff in the soulful, funky house variety. To me, this is the kind of music that, if played continuously like this in a club, would probably clear the dance floor, unless the crowd was high on rugs and feeling really euphoric. I could never listen to an hour of this on my own time at home. Even the last track, a Johnny Vicious song, didn't live up to his quality of dance music. For those who like this music and these tracks, here are the song lengths:

1. deep south (6:47)
2. Groove me (6:32)
3. Everyday (6:01)
4. Rebirth (5:56)
5. It's up to you (6:14)
6. Ya dig (6:13)
7. Babalu (6:26)
8. White exploitation (7:39)
9. Egyptian drummer (6:31)
10. back to brazil (6:58)
