5.0 out of 5 stars Has all the songs needed for the Wedding.....
We've searched high and low for a CD that has a decent selection of music for our wedding. By far, this one has it all. From processional music to ethnic dances. Very unique and sure to be a hit with all brides and grooms.

1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CD, IF YOU LIKE ORIGINAL ART
I should have known this CD was too good to be true. Had it contained songs from the original artists, it would have been. The classical selections (first 6 or so) are poorly recorded, and are only useful for getting an idea of what those musical pieces sound like.

I was hoping I could use the Father/Daughter songs for our dance, but I am afraid I won't be able to...

I should have known this CD was too good to be true. Had it contained songs from the original artists, it would have been. The classical selections (first 6 or so) are poorly recorded, and are only useful for getting an idea of what those musical pieces sound like.

I was hoping I could use the Father/Daughter songs for our dance, but I am afraid I won't be able to. Their version of "Butterfly Kisses" is cheesy-sounding at best, nothing like the original. The other recordings sound extremely fake, and unless your wedding guests are too drunk on the wine, I am afraid it will be blaringly obvious to everybody.

I'm going to stick with buying the original albums for most of the selections on this cd.

4.0 out of 5 stars OK in a pinch, November 17, 2004
This review is from: Party Request Series 8 (Audio CD)
Songs are not done by the original artists and some are better than others. (They sound like they were done in a studio on a mixer.) The first six or so aren't bad for wedding entrance and exits. I like the deeper sounding bass of some of the numbers. It's a complete album with a lively Hava nagila, a good chicken dance but average hands up and electric slide. The Beer Barrel Polka has some sound problems as it's not very loud. I enjoyed the father-daughter dances and didn't care for the mother-son dances. All in all, not a bad album, not great, but not bad. Knowing what I know about the album, I would buy it again.
