Review of Party Time 2002,
This review is from: Party Time 2002 (Audio CD)
A great cd with 27 awesome club hits. The only reason i didnt give it a 5 is that some of the songs sound alike, not giving a whole lot of variety. If you like recent club hits, this is a cd for you. Favorite tracks: Darude - Feel The Beat, Ian Van Dahl - Castles In The Sky, Aurora - Ordinary World, Tamia - Stranger In My House, along with many other club hits. If you love club hits, definitely but this cd.

This 2 disc set, in my opinion, is the greatest compilation since the "Now Thats Music" series. The only difference is, this compilation is for us DANCE MUSIC LOVERS! This cd combines many types of dance music, including progressive, trance, house... and more! I have listened to this cd many times [before it was released] and I'm here to say that this is a must have for all you party kids. This cd will be loved by all, glitter boys and raver kids alike ! Grab this cd as soon as possible !

Not necessarily perfect, but still very good.,

As a DJ, I am pleased by this recording. DJ Escape matches the beats very well, and blends his music together very smoothly. In addition, the songs generally seem to flow quite well together. My only drawback from giving this CD a five is that on the first CD, the songs gradually become more complex as time progresses, but the complexity of the songs disappear after a while, and the mix then starts to sound monotonous. I think the song "Come On Down" should have been used as the climactic end of the first CD, or at least a major turning point in the mood of the mix. Up until that song, I feel an energy gradually building up inside. Then, the energy explodes when "Come On Down" starts. Next, the mix could maybe follow up with "Journey To Uranus", or something like that. :> "Drink To Get Drunk" seems to be a good one to use as part of a build up to another climax. On the other hand, I really like the second CD. It has lots of current hits mixed on it, and those songs that are not big hits are used very effectively in keeping the overall energy flowing. I especially like how DJ Escape reprises "Know You Can" as part of "Jungle". That was quite creative. DJ Escape, if you happen to read this, I wish you luck. All in all, your mix is quite exciting to listen to. Keep up the good work, and I hope you will record another mix soon.

Great action,

Two different mood levels for the different CD's. Volume one is slower paced but pretty consistent with a few slow / softer phases. Volume 2 picks up the pace more and will keep a group moving. I've used both in group exercise classes with tremendous success.

One thing about Escape's mixes, he never gets experimental on his mixes-always playing it safe with the popular stuff. So it's appropriate for him to mix the Party Time series each year. Since it's a party, you want listeners to be familiar with the tracks, and even be able to sing along. That's what you can do with these to hit mixes of dance favorites, many of them in long versions, and both discs filling just about every minute of space. Definitely a good buy for the price. Track times:

I thought about giving Party Time 5 stars until I realized that I wasn't crazy about Disk 1. Disk 1 was a bit too "disco" for my tastes. Disk 2, however, has some of the best songs ever created! I am very happy that I bought Party Time 2002.

I love all the tracks on Party Time 2002! DJ Escape does a really good job of mixing the 27 songs together. My favorites: That Kid Chris/Jungle, Journey to Uranus/Johnny Vicious, Stranger In My House/Tamia, and Know You Can/Whatever, Girl. This is a great set of CDs to listen to when you're going down the highway, partyin at a dance club, or just sitting in your house. I hope DJ Escape makes another 2 CD set like this one. You actually can't tell when the songs start or end! The tracks are smoothly mixed together. I suggest you go out and buy this CD!

Not too excited about it. I originally bought 2003 and liked that so much I figured 2001 and 2002 would be the same. So I was disappointed. It happens.
