This is the debut from the Romanian twins Monica and Gabriela aka The Cheeky Girls! They can't sing or talk English, but here they try both!! To make the matters worse: their mother writes the tracks!! They appeared on Popstars - The Rivals a couple of times, but without luck, but managed to get a record deal anyway. This is the funniest album probably in the history! This is a must-have for the party, and everybody gets in a good mood by this two. Against all odds they've 4 top ten hits in the UK. Trust me on this one: they are hilarious!! KListe to Cheeky song (touch my bum), and let the party begin!!

The Cheeky Girls are the most dreadful pop artists imaginable, they can't sing for toffee and their songs, oh my God, they are awful in the extreme, poppy, sloppy, cheesy, hammy, grotesque and yet, and yet I find myself really liking these girls and after a fashion am now even fond of their hideous, cheesy songs!

I like their sass, their enthusiasm, their desire to do the best that they can in a cut-throat uncaring industry that dared to laugh at them, now I have to confess that I am a profound hater of all reality shows, especially those that break hearts and dreams. On another level though I still can't work out why so many people go for these shows when it is SO obvious their voices suck and they have no talent whatsoever, but I guess if you have a dream you have to see if you can make it come true.

The Cheeky Girls themselves tried for the Popstars - The Rivals reality show but didn't get very far which is not surprising and yet these girls just wouldn't give up, anyone else would have but not them and their mad-cap totally awful song "Cheeky Song - Touch my Bum" ended up in the UK charts!

I haven't been mad enough to buy their albums in a high street shop, even I have some standards here guys, but I have got it, don't you just love thrift shops????

Of course I have it hidden away because this is a SHAMEFUL secret, being a fan of The Cheeky Girls, and singing along in a voice that would clear the Serengeti of all it's stampeding animals as they flung themselves into a river to be willingly eaten by crocodiles desperate themselves to gorge themselves to death rather than hear me sing!

So if you are like me a Secret Cheeky Girls fan, then go out to the thrift shop and find yourself a copy or buy it online under an assumed name but you have got to have this album for its sheer dreadfulness, cheese, spam, fun, even catchiness on occasions with plenty of laughter and exuberance thrown in for good measure.

This is so about loving life, loving oneself, you go Cheeky Girls, I'm your number one secret fan!!!!!!

PS I didn't watch the reality shows by the way, the girls ended up on Top of the Pops and I saw them there, and then found out their history, I HATE reality pop shows but I have to confess sometimes I do take a sneaky look, it's real good when I need to hurl chunks!
