A Comprehensive Best-Of, October 4, 2001

While all of us Solid Base fans sit around and wait for a new album of theirs to come out, they tease of us with this sort of "Best Of....", eventhough that's not what it's technically called. Including 11 of the biggest hits from Solid Base and one new song, "Party Totale" is a comprehensive collection of party-till-dawn dance songs. The brand new track, I LIKE IT(#1), is a nice little track that begins at a snail's pace and slowly builds into a nice Euro-tune that is a slight change of pace from other Solid Base hits. I really do like that song! The remaining songs are well-known hits that need no introduction to true Euro-dance fans. The best of the lot are probably THIS IS HOW WE DO IT(#3), BAILA BOLERO(#5), SET ME FREE(#7) and COLOURS OF YOUR DREAM(#8). The one and only gripe I have is that they left out my favorite Solid Base song, STAY WITH ME from the "Express" album. I don't know how they could have excluded that one. Anyway, the famed Swedish group really comes through with a nice album that encompases most of the hits and keeps us anticpating their new music.
