Product Description

This elegant pashmina would make a wonderful addition to your collection of scarves, shawls, and wraps. Its versatility allows it to be shaped and worn in various modes. Go from the modern tie around the neck, to the traditional shawl, and anything your imagination can come up. Dimensions are 6' x 2'2" (72 x 26 inches). This makes an excellent gift for women on any occasion. The material is 100% pashmina - not mixed with silk or any other material. Great for evening wear and social events, but still can be worn for a casual look. Soft, genuine, fringes on both ends. Great for both winter and summer. The Pashmina StoryPashmina, from the Persian word for wool, is popularly known in the west as cashmere wool, from the old spelling for kashmir. The fine wool comes from the undercoat of Himalayan mountain goat, raised by semi-nomadic herders. A single goat yields 3-8 ounces of fiber per year. The Tibetan plateau provides the ideal environment for pashmina growth. The fiber is exceptionally absorbent, and it dyes very easily and deeply. In recent years, pashmina shawl has been in fashion all over the world for its luxurious rarity, its incomparable softness, warmth and durability.Care For Your PashminaPashmina gets softer with frequent use. Cleaning pashmina is easy. Although pashminas can be dry-cleaned, the chemicals used, in the long run, affect it (like all fine wool). We thus recommend washing in cold or warm water using mild, natural soap or shampoo. Rinse until water runs clean and then drip dry only, away from direct sunlight. Do not wring or twist. If it needs pressing, iron over a damp cloth.

This was a lovely product. I have pashminas I actually acquired in Turkey and this comes pretty close. It is light weight, but very warm. For the price - you can't do better.

This shawl arrived two business days after I ordered it. It's pretty light-weight, but perfect for a summer evening wrap. And beautiful, too!

The lable on the scarf said that it was 70% pashmina and 30% silk.
Other than that, the scarf is very soft and of good quality.

The scarf is a handy, warm accessory, but it isn't nearly as soft as I had hoped. Also, after only one wash the fringe has come undone and the fabric is starting to get holes.

I bought this as a gift. It's a beautiful scarf and so very very soft, once I had it I wished I had bought one for myself as well.

This is not what it claims to be! My shawl arrived with two tags; both said 70% pashmina, 30% silk. The shawl is not as thick or warm as it should be because it isn't wool. It is lightweight but it is very soft, if a bit thin. I am sad that it wasn't full pashmina, but I think it is still a pretty good buy for the price.
