Product Description

This elegant pashmina would make a wonderful addition to your collection of scarves, shawls, and wraps. Its versatility allows it to be shaped and worn in various modes. Go from the modern tie around the neck, to the traditional shawl, and anything your imagination can come up. Dimensions are 6' x 2'2" (72 x 26 inches). This makes an excellent gift for women on any occasion. The material is 100% pashmina - not mixed with silk or any other material. Great for evening wear and social events, but still can be worn for a casual look. Soft, genuine, fringes on both ends. Great for both winter and summer.

The Pashmina Story
Pashmina, from the Persian word for wool, is popularly known in the west as cashmere wool, from the old spelling for kashmir. The fine wool comes from the undercoat of Himalayan mountain goat, raised by semi-nomadic herders. A single goat yields 3-8 ounces of fiber per year. The Tibetan plateau provides the ideal environment for pashmina growth. The fiber is exceptionally absorbent, and it dyes very easily and deeply. In recent years, pashmina shawl has been in fashion all over the world for its luxurious rarity, its incomparable softness, warmth and durability.

Care For Your Pashmina
Pashmina gets softer with frequent use. Cleaning pashmina is easy. Although pashminas can be dry-cleaned, the chemicals used, in the long run, affect it (like all fine wool). We thus recommend washing in cold or warm water using mild, natural soap or shampoo. Rinse until water runs clean and then drip dry only, away from direct sunlight. Do not wring or twist. If it needs pressing, iron over a damp cloth.

I don't quite understand everybody's positive reviews because when I ordered it based on reviews, I was expecting a quality, beautiful, 100% pashmina. What I received was none of the above. It was thin as can be, looked cheap and when I tried to peel of the Made in China sticker, you could literally see through the fabric where the sticker had been. While the seller did offer to return/refund, I don't really feel like spending another $7 to send back so I'll chalk this one up to a loss. Buyer beware.

While the color of this scarf is quite striking, and this item looks attractive when worn, I am certain that it isn't real cashmere (as it is overtly advertised by this seller). I really know cashmere and own a lot of it, and I would put money on this product being synthetic. Also, the weave is inconsistent; tight in some places and loosey-goosey in others. These shawls also have those infamous, cheap glued on tags. I VERY gingerly removed these from the two scarves I purchased, and still managed to put a hole in one of them. These were intended as Christmas gifts, so this was aggravating to say the least. On the positive side, the color is arresting and the fabric disguises its flaws well. I would wear it if I'd received it as a gift. As a buyer, I wish the seller had been honest with me. I wouldn't have any issue buying a high-quality synthetic scarf for 15 dollars, but purchasing this under false pretenses is what makes me angry. Buyer beware I guess...

This is NOT 100% pashmina. It is 70% and 30% silk. Color is nice but it looks shiny and will not be warm. It looks very cheap

Cant be bothered to send back but will not buy from these people again.

Tag says 70% pashmina and 30% silk.

I bought several of these (in 3 different colors - burgandy, purple and olive green) based on customer reviews, and I am completely satisfied with the wraps and the cost. The colors are rich and vibrant and the material is soft and drapes well. These were Christmas gifts to several girl friends and I heard lots of oohs and ahhs when they opened the package. I especially liked that these wraps are versatile (shawl, wrap, head scarf, neck scarf and can even be worn as a belt). Koodos to Choosy Shopper! I would definitely purchase these again.

Very well pleased with this 100% Pashmina Shawl! It is a true Indigo blue that is not easy to find. The 100% Pashmina fabric has a nice feel to the touch and is perfect in weight ~ not too light and not too heavy, along with good how to care for instructions. I received it right on time as they said in 2 to 3 days. And for the price it makes for Great Gifts at a Special buy! Thank YOU!
