The Pashmina Story
Pashmina, from the Persian word for wool, is popularly known in the west as cashmere wool, from the old spelling for kashmir. The fine wool comes from the undercoat of Himalayan mountain goat, raised by semi-nomadic herders. A single goat yields 3-8 ounces of fiber per year. The Tibetan plateau provides the ideal environment for pashmina growth. The fiber is exceptionally absorbent, and it dyes very easily and deeply. In recent years, pashmina shawl has been in fashion all over the world for its luxurious rarity, its incomparable softness, warmth and durability.

Care For Your Pashmina
Pashmina gets softer with frequent use. Cleaning pashmina is easy. Although pashminas can be dry-cleaned, the chemicals used, in the long run, affect it (like all fine wool). We thus recommend washing in cold or warm water using mild, natural soap or shampoo. Rinse until water runs clean and then drip dry only, away from direct sunlight. Do not wring or twist. If it needs pressing, iron over a damp cloth.

I bought this as a christmas gift for my sister and she loves it. Its very soft and although not as thick as an average pashmina, the delicateness gives it flexibility to wear it through the warmer months as well. She loves it.

Love these wraps. I have officially ordered 7 from this vendor. I LOVE THEM. Super cute, bright colors that pop with everything that I wear. It's great to wrap up in at the office when it gets chilly. Light weight and nice. I always receive compliments when I wear them. I plan on buying more.

I got these for my bridesmaids as one of my wedding presents. Many of them are from warm climates and living in a colder climate I thought they might want a wrap to warm up.

These are VERY thin. They are maybe something you can wear on a warm evening to cover up, but do not rely on them for warmth. The are so thin, I would almost compare them to gauze.

They do look nice, and the color was true to the picture. If you are looking for a lightweight wrap, I would recommend this product to you.
