Great for both winter and summer.<br /><br /><b>The Pashmina Story</b><br />Pashmina, from the Persian word for wool, is popularly known in the west as cashmere wool, from the old spelling for kashmir. The fine wool comes from the undercoat of Himalayan mountain goat, raised by semi-nomadic herders. A single goat yields 3-8 ounces of fiber per year. The Tibetan plateau provides the ideal environment for pashmina growth. The fiber is exceptionally absorbent, and it dyes very easily and deeply. In recent years, pashmina shawl has been in fashion all over the world for its luxurious rarity, its incomparable softness, warmth and durability.<br /><br /><b>Care For Your Pashmina</b><br />Pashmina gets softer with frequent use. Cleaning pashmina is easy. Although pashminas can be dry-cleaned, the chemicals used, in the long run, affect it (like all fine wool). We thus recommend washing in cold or warm water using mild, natural soap or shampoo. Rinse until water runs clean and then drip dry only, away from direct sunlight. Do not wring or twist. If it needs pressing, iron over a damp cloth.

We ordered 8 of the Pashmina shawls for the bridesmaids in my daughter's wedding.I had mixed emotions after reading the reviews, but decided to go ahead and try them. I was pleasantly surprised on how beautiful they were. Yes, they are thin, but you get what you pay for. They are very warm when worn around the shoulders, and since they are thin they can be worn wrapped around the neck in the latest fashion. I would recommend these to anyone who is interested, but just be aware that they are thin, but they ARE genuine Pashmina. Good buy!!

I originally ordered these shawls for my bridesmaids on May 10. The shipment came relatively quick; however out of the 4 shawls I ordered, 3 of them arrived dirty and/or damaged. I emailed the seller to inquire about the return policy and was promptly told to send them back and include a copy of the email for their records. I sent the dirty shawls back and repeatedly inquired about the status of my return. I never heard back from Choosy Shopper and it was only after leaving negative feedback and emailing again through Amazon that I finally received a response about my replacement shawls. At this point I was ready for a refund; however it was too late since Choosy Shopper had already sent my shawls out. They arrived today (postmarked with the date I notified Amazon of my bad experience) and they were all clean. The shawls are soft and thin but will work perfectly for a summer wedding. The vendor, Choosy Shopper, I will never buy from again. All I needed was for them to tell me that they received my return and would be sending the new shawls shortly and I would have been a satisfied customer (even with the shawls arriving dirty in the first place).
