5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, a good finish nailer!, April 27, 2004

This review is from: Paslode T250-F16 3/4-to-2-1/4-Inch 16 Gauge Trim/Finish Nailer (Tools & Home Improvement)
I was using Porter cable 250a's, which I love, but Porter Cable decided to replace them with 250b's, which stink. Since then in my attempt to replace my aging guns I've gone through Craftsman, Senco, Hitachi, and DeWalt, and was unsatisfied with each. Finally I tryed the Paslode and I loved it except for the silver trigger it comes with. Today I got the orange trigger and it does everything I want! Namely, it has a small safety so nails can easily be angled in, it fires to a consistant depth (unlike the DeWalt and Hitachi), and I can rapid fire when I need to. I'm a finish carpenter in Florida, I use the gun for trimming houses mainly, including hanging doors, base, crown, balustrades, etc.

5.0 out of 5 stars Paslode quality as usual, December 28, 2003

This review is from: Paslode T250-F16 3/4-to-2-1/4-Inch 16 Gauge Trim/Finish Nailer (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have owned this nailer for about a year now, and it has definitely lived up to its expectations. I have trimmed out houses, cabinets, and various small projects with no problems at all. The quick release jamming mechanism is a great idea, but I've only had to use it once since I've had the nailer(this thing just won't jam up). It has good power but won't send the nail spiraling through the wood. Of course the swivel exhaust port comes in handy just remember to use it. The imprint the nailer leaves on the wood is virtually none except for the nail entry hole, much better than other finish nailers that I've seen. So to make a long story short if you want a good nailer buy Bostitch or Craftsman, but if you want a great nailer buy the Paslode.

5.0 out of 5 stars great finish gun, January 14, 2003

I had been using the older style 16ga. Paslode finish nailer that was borrowed from a fellow builder. It worked well so when it was time to get my own I wanted to stick with Paslode, I am glad I did. The T-250 works as well as the older gun but recoil is almost non-existant and it feels even more balanced. I am happy with this tool. I also like the new smaller case.
